    Question

I've heard some pretty bad ones, but the worst was a few days ago when a lady named her kid Pajama (sounds like Pah-Jah-Mah) . She said she was looking through a catalog and thought the name was pretty. That's so cruel.

I used to be a birth recorder for a big hospital here in the bay area so I have a lot of stories. But the worst by far was a totally low class family that named their son:

Pitbull Shotgun (last name). It was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. I/and the county tried to talk them out of it for about a week before I finally had to transmit the birth certificate to state. How horrible.

Also, you can give your child any last name too. Just like the first and middle. I had a hippy couple give their daughter's last name as Rainbow Sunshine.

It takes all kinds to make up this world.

Okay, I ran across someone named "Tequila" once. I don't think I'd like to be named after an alcohol, makes you wonder how many shots of Tequila her mother had the night she was conceived!

I use to work for a hospital group and I heard that someone read the baby armband and thought that her baby had been named for her so she kept the name - Female - but she pronounced it FEEMALLY

I never liked the name Precious for a baby because I have only heard pets named that.

My best friends friend is Cherokee and she named her daughter Sunny. Her last name was Day. So Sunny Day. Kind of cute, I think, but corny too.

My dad begged me to give Breanna a different name. He wanted her to be named Shawnee Lenei (sp?). I said, wtf?? His great grandfather was chief of an indian tribe. The name of the tribe was Lenei and the name of the nation was Shawnee. I said, no way. He had his chance to scar his kids for life and didn't take it.

There are some pretty wacky names out there.

OMG I didn't realize there were so many horrible names out there! The worst I ever came across was "Excellent"!!
I had been at my child's school and I saw a paper on one of the other teachers boards and it said Excellent Jones or whatever in theworld his last name was. And I asked the teacher was this childs name actually "excellent" she said yes, we laughed (actually cracked up)
No later than a week or two later, I had been speaking to a prospective client of mine on the phone and she said "hold on these kids are getting on my nerves - EXCELLENT!!! Get in here" I fell out. I had to put her on hold.

Okay - here are a few good ones...

    - a guy that my hubby went to college with was named Richard Gozinya - "D!ck Gozinya_ - how bad is that?!?!

A friend of my mom's name is Fanny Brown. As if that is not bad enough - when she got married she named a guy whose last name was Stool - Fanny Brown Stool - I mean, that is just sick.

My mom's neighbors are the Sippy's - I had to go over there one day and ring the doorbell when I couldn't find my key - the Mrs. answered the door and without even thinking about it I said "Hi, Mrs. Sippy" - now say that out loud - I burst out laughing before I could finish the sentence and felt like the biggest *****!!!!

And my personal fav - when we were engaged we registered at this store that lists the people that are registered there in an ad in a local paper....Lisa XXXXXX XXXXXX to marry Van XXXXX XXXXXX for example. Listed in the same ad as us was a girl named DeeDee Smith (making up last name - can't remember exactly) to marry Greg Dudah - that chick's name is now DeeDee Dudah - are you f-ing kidding me?!?!?!? I wouldn't have married him!!!

My Grandma went to school with a girl named Merry Christmas.

There is a lady that lives down the street from me named Princess Bigwhip.

I have heard names Richard Richard, Will William, Robert Roberts, what the heck could they not think of anything original.
