Question
I know I have posed this question before, but we have lots of new people since then,so I wanted to know,if you are on thyroid meds and phen how/when do you take your meds. Also what dosage are you on and have you had success.I am on 50 mcgs Synthroid and 30 mgs phen.I have only lost 13 pounds since end of Feb though.I also had been taking synthroid as soon as I woke up waiting an hour then phen, waiting an hour then eating.Starting today though I will try taking them at the same time and seeing how thatgoes.Any input/info would be great. Thanks!

Wish I could answer your ? about the tyroid meds and Phen, but cant. Just be carefull sometimes mixing meds make you sick. Hope all works out and 13 lbs is great. Remember the longer it takes to lose the longer it stays gone.
Good Luck

I am on .100 mcg and I take it along with my phen an hour before eating. I have lost 9 pounds in a month. With the thyroid tho - alot is going to depend on if your levels have stabilized! How long have you been on synthroid? Also, if you have TOO MUCH synthroid, you actually gain weight. Weird I know but its true. I had to knock down from .125 to .100 to see a difference and my endo said that too much synthroid has the opposite effect on weight.

How could too much Synthroid make you gain weight? Too much would make you hyperthyroid and make your metabolism faster not slower.

I take my vitamins when I get up in the morning, eat breakfast, two hours later I exercise, two hours after that, I take my Phen-Pro mixture and Armour(1 grain) and Synthroid (25 mcg.) together. I then take the rest of my thyroid meds(another 1 grain of Armour) and 5HTP in the evening. I have now lost 27 pounds since basicly Feb. 1st.

Miper,
Don't know how it does, but he showed it to me in a physicians manual. It will only make you hyper if you are already hyper. Doesn't work that way on hypo. I am proof.

Interesting, When I had my bloodwork done last week, my TSH was non-existant and my free numbers were a little above mid-way. I cut back just a tad on my Armour.
