How do you stop yourself from eating out of boredom? I sit at my desk all day with nothing to do half the time and I catch myself eating. Any tips?

Well...I go outside and smoke, LOL, I don't suggest it though! If your boss won't find out, splay spider solitaire...I'm addicted!! No really, maybe much on some carrot sticks, handfull of grapes, yogurt, sometimes always eating (every 2-3 hours) is a great thing, just make small healthy choices.

LMAO! That's what I do Ashley, go smoke. Not recommended of course.
I always cruise online when I have slow days. If you can't get online at work or have super spies watching, try the Solitaire idea...or start writing your memoirs. The obvious thing would be to remove all food so it's not available. Where are you getting it? Are you bringing it in? Vending machine? Bring no cash to work, not even change and don't bring anything but your lunch or planned snacks with you. Water helps me a lot. I drink almost 3 full liters at work and it completely curbs my appetite. I still get bored, but I'm so full from water that nothing appeals to me. |

I sit right across from our cafe so I smell all the food cooking from 10:30-2:30. Plus I have snacks in my desk. Guess I should get rid of those.

UH, YEAH get rid of the snacks!! Put the cookie down! LMAO! Dumbfox is right, don't bring any cash to work, only your lunch box full of good stuff to eat. Also, I have a co-worker who is kinda like my attack dog, we have a fully stocked kitchen at work, so when I go for the chocolate mini Twix or Snickers, she'll say..."Ash, how are your pants fitting today, would you like them to stay that way? You'll be needing to fit in your cubicle tommorow, so give yourself a favor and grab a carrot stick!" Hell if I'm really lucky, she'll let me dip it in ranch or something! So if you have a co-worker close to you, ask him or her to keep an eye out!

Keep bottled water on hand and healthy snacks. Bring them daily in a lunch box so you don't have an unlimited supply of crap to eat- granola bars, carrots, fresh broccoli, etc.
Also, don't keep spare change in your purse- I always end up eating like crap when I realize there is an extra buck in my bag- leave the purse in the car!!!
