Thread: Week 2 of Week by Week Challenge (Water & Cardio)

    Hi, everyone. Tomorrow begins a new week of my personal challenge. I am glad to have company along the way. This works out great with accountability and my time crunch!

    Starting this week, on top of having 12-14 servings of water daily, I will be accomplishing 5 cardio workouts of at least 30 minutes each. Tomorrow is my first day.

    Wish me luck and good luck to all of you trying to change their habits!

    30 minutes of cardio done. I really kicked butt with intervals. Still need to take shower, but have half my water in at only 8:30am!

    Luna, thank you! I just needed to start small and let it build up. I don't know why, but without having to worry about calories, fat, water, exercise, weights and everything all at once ... I feel better. Come on and drink that water!

    HI girls,
    I had a BLAST in Montreal. I probably lost some water weight (from drooling) but didnt get all my waters in...Lots of cocktails though! AND got in some extra cardio (shopping). LOL!

    I'm adding to my daily 12 waters a new mini challenge of 5 f/v.

    Missus, I am trying my best. Thank you for the daily encouragement. How was your bike ride? I used to cycle 3-4x a week and my butt never got used to it. LOL

    Susan, I don't know who were you talking to, but I just finished cleaning the house. I HATE IT! It used to come normal to me because I'm a germaphobe, but now I think dust isn't germs, but little friends. LOL

    LMAO at the lazy ba$tard comment. I tried to avoid cleaning also, but I heard tale of the dust bunnies plotting to overthrow me lastnight. I won't have it!

    I know who you remind me of now, but you probably don't know who she is. Anyhooo, she's Amy on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." She was turned into a rat and then turned back, but she's very pretty. I saw her on this morning and thought, "That's Cater!" Wish I knew her real name, but maybe I can find a picture!

    Hmmm...well, she's a lot skinnier than I am, and darker hair...Maybe! LOL

    I re-ordered 30mg today plus some 15mg to battle the late night snack attacks...

    We saw Shrek2 yesterday...It's HYSTERICAL! Highly recommend it--even better than the first one (oo-- a sequel that's BETTER?! That's a novel idea!)

    OK, kids are home, I'm only down 1 bottle of water, and my house is...well...not gonna make it into Better Homes & Gardens today! LOL

    AND I work tonight. Better go hustle my ***** to get dinner organized, figure out an outfit, etc.

    Hi Emma,

    I'm new to this and want to join your challenge. I was dieting pretty well on my own earlier this year and drinking 64 oz of water each day (I would fill a 2 qt pitcher at the beginning of the day and try to finish it before work at night). But when I lost control of my diet, I also rebelled by not drinking water (what is WRONG with me???) even though I wanted it. I craved it for a few days but eventually lost the craving - now I need to work back up to at least 64 oz, prob more because I'm almost 200 lb.

    Tomorrow I'm gonna start posting when I complete a day of 64 oz (I'll do baby steps also and try to work up to more water next week). I just started the Phen today and have a pretty bad headache - I'm hoping the water will also help relieve that (although it sounds like this is a normal side effect - does it last forever or just while your body adjusts?)

    Hi, everyone. I'm late in posting, but had a very busy morning. I DID do my 30 minutes of cardio this morning and REALLY worked it hard again. 8 servings of water down, 6 to go!

    I also took Luna's great advice and rewarded myself lastnight for a good week with water ... gave myself a pedicure. I NEVER do this!

    Now on to some replies:

    Joni, I am glad to have you aboard. I laughed my fool head off at the McButterPants. I find doing everything at once is just too much ... it's a straight road to failure where I am concerned. As for the Phen, I didn't get headaches. I did get really bad insomnia though and that lasted for a couple of weeks. The water should help a lot. Don't forget to post when you're done with the 64 and good luck!

    Missus, do you ever get noodlelegs from the bike? I used to hope off mine in my front yard and then try to be cool by holding onto the house for support while I walked inside. Great job on the full hour AND the water!

    Cater, where do you work? You mentioned yelling at college boys. I'm just curious. Not for stalker specifics, but you know ... just if it's in a dorm or what. Great job on your 12 servings! I bet your weigh-in will be great! Let us know.

    I am a teacher for a class for DUI convictions, and I am a clinician at a drug & alcohol detox. Last night I was teaching. I had 4 college boys who's reoffense avoidance plan was based upon the following logic: "I am a hard drinker in college, like normal college kids, and when I go home/graduate, real life will force me to be responsible." In other words, the binge drinking and high tolerance will magically disappear.

    Poo. Who do they think they're kidding? not me, that's for sure.

    Cater, what a noble career path you've chosen. I know exactly what you mean concerning drinking. My sister's hubby is a bad drunk. Not daily, but when he does, he think he's in complete control and he's NOT! The man will even try to drive drunk to get more alcohol. Now my sister hides it because she knows I'd call the cops on him in a second for doing that! Anyhow, he was once young saying exactly what you have written and now he's 42 and not at all handling it! As for the bold. Put [ b ] on one end and [ / b ] on the other, but don't space it as I did. You can do it to a word or a complete paragraph.

    Good morning, all!

    Well, I didnt get all my waters in yesterday. And, I'm PMSing bigtime which means Carb Craving City. I had toast, pita chips, cream cheese...nothing good, I assure you. No f/v. Bad day of bad choices all around. I'm definitely disappointed in myself. I have cramps up to my tonsils, too. Period due on Monday, but last time it was 3 days early, so who the heck knows.

    Ok, so goals today include 12 waters, 5 f/v, and some protein, to keep me away from the carbs as much as possible.

    Good morning, everyone! Third straight day of exercising. I did a 2-mile powerwalk today and already drank 8 waters. I feel a LOT better now that I'm slowly taking control.

    Hi, I forgot to post yesterday. Two days in a row of drinking enough water. Eating very well but need to add my fruits and veggies back in (I tend to skip them). Also this phen makes me crave fruity, slushy stuff so last night I overate some sorbet and today drank some of ds3's slushy. But mostly I'm drinking water.

    Glad you like my nickname on here - I confess I didn't make it up, I got it from an episode of King of Queens. I thought it was so funny and it just popped in my head when I had to think of a nickname for this forum.

    FattyMcButterPants, great job on water! I will be adding fruits and veggies in when I get to it on my baby steps. I eat them now, but I don't eat enough. I do love that name, but you are so pretty! Your name doesn't fit ... even though it's the funniest one I've heard in a LONG time!

    Hi girls,
    Doing OK w/my H2o today. Crappy on the f/v. Feeling el-bloat-o due to pending period. Didnt bother doing the weigh in today...Chickin, I guess. I didnt do the best I could yesterday and so I feel like giving myself a coupl more days of good choices.

    I was scheduled to work today, tomorrow & friday but that was cancelled. I'm a sub and the guy I was covering ended up working after all. That's fine...I've had plenty to do.

    The phen isn't making me as thirsty as usual, I'm wondering if I should take an extra dose.

    Hi, everyone. Worked out my fourth straight day of run/walk intervals. I am kicking some serious butt and feeling a lot better every day. So much bloating is gone and I'm glad. Of course, now some of the clothes look ridiculously baggy, but that's okay.

    Cater, don't worry about the gain. It's just water and will come off just as fast as it come on. I don't take Phentermine right now, but I know others have had success with splitting the dose up and taking it twice a day. Maybe that'll help. Good luck!

    Hi Emma,
    I bought a pedometer yesterday. I will be working up to 10,000 steps. I bought it halfway thru the day, and reached ~2250 steps. I went for a walk in the afternoon. My goal is to increase my walking steps daily, even if by 1 step, until I get to 10,000.

    Heading to a wholesale jewelry sale at a manufacturers plant today for resale on eBay, if anyone is looking for beautiful, inexpensive jewelry! Be back around lunchtime, probably.

    Hello, everyone. I had a big suprise today ... I'm riding the cotton horse for the second time this month. UGH! I didn't workout, but I have all weekend to get it in. I am drinking the water.

    Cater, very cool about the pedometer. I bought one last year and within two weeks, it stopped working because of the bouncy thing inside, but I couldn't believe all the steps I was doing in a day. Isn't it neat to see them add up? By the way, Jipi PMed me concerning mentioning the site you mentioned and also for mentioning that I could offer merchandise on the site you mentioned. If this sounds ridiculous, it's because I was told you cannot mention the site or that you make money on the site or offer what you make money on to anyone else here ... either in written or in link. You can be permanently banned and while I think it is insano logic, I don't want you banned!

    hi, emma thanks for saying my pic is pretty -that is so sweet. i, of course, absolutely hate the way i look. i hate pix being taken of me which is why i didn't have any to post and had to get my 6yo to take the one i did post. anyway, i'm suffering from vertigo the last two days. it's terrible and i've just been trying to get by. got meds from the ER last nite that i'm not sure help but those combined with the phen have left me parched. nothing touches the thirst. you'd think that'd make me drink more but it's so frustrating to be thirsty as soon as i drink that i've actually given up. weird huh? anyway, not sure if the vertigo is phen-related - i think not since i had a spell a week or two ago but this is the first time i've had dizzy spells this bad and for whole days at a time so i'm going off of it for the wknd to see what happens and whether phen makes the problem worse. i will be so bummed because i know i've been losing this week due to the phen but this dizziness isn't worth it if it is indeed caused by the phen (i honestly don't know whether i hope it is or isn't caused by the phen - on one hand it would mean i could get rid of this dizziness by not taking it but on the other hand, man that would **** since this is working for me). will report back later but for now, i have been drinking mucho water but probably not the 64 oz a day i was striving for. having trouble looking at the screen (looking down while i type LOL) so i haven't read much of the other posts but i hope you all are doing well with the challenge.
