Just wanted to put this out there, in case anybody would like to donate.
Times are very rough here in Central FL. Three hurricane hits and each time we were recovering from the previous. All of Florida is devastated. But the thing about Central FL is that during Charley, our people did without. We watched as trucks of ice, food and water came through our streets and passed us by going to other parts of the state. We weren't getting disaster relief at all until somebody stepped up and said, hey, these people lost everything...they need help too.
We need food, water and ice. Our funds are almost depleted. Nobody has food. People in the southern part of my county are starving because they were hit hard by all 3 hurricanes.
A United Way rep just came to my job and talked to all of us about how desperate they are for help, donations, volunteers. I'm volunteering this weekend. That's all I can do. I'm living paycheck to paycheck and can't even pay my own bills this month because of the hurricanes.
If anybody wants to help out, please do so. Donate to the United Way of Central Florida or any kind of hurricane relief fund. Central FL needs it badly, as I'm sure the east coast does as well. If you have nothing to donate, please pray that we get back on our feet soon. Thanks.
