I just found out some very interesting news. A 20-ounce bottle of coke contains the equivalent of 17 teaspoons of sugar. I could never imagine going to the sugar bowl and eating 17 teaspoons of sugar. So then I become conscious of the sugar content in the food I was eating. So wondering is there a way to convert the grams of sugar stated on the nutritional labels into teaspoons.
So after some research I found it... You divide the grams of sugar by 4.2 to get the number of teaspoons. for example, an 8- ounce container of Fat- free fruit yogurt has 43.1 grams of sugars. So divide 43.1 by 4.2 and you get 10.26 ( round up to 10.3) teaspoons of sugar. So the next time you drink a soft drink or eat something you think is on your diet. Do the math and see that is going in you body... |

Thanks, that is really interesting to know! I have not had any coke since I started to try and loose on Dec. 1st and I really have stoped missing it. I drink juice and water, I got crystal light but it just didn't taste that great....
