I started my weight loss in March 2003. So far, I've lost about 63 pounds. I still have about 40 to go. I've been cheating alot lately (not eating right and giving in to my feelings of hunger all the time)and have not lost ANY weight for months now.

Last week I had even gained a few pounds, but did a pretty good job of monitoring my intake at breakfast/lunch meals at work. I guess I'm writing because I need some words of encouragement and inspiration to take control over this again--because I have that feeling--like losing control-- and I HATE it. I know that I've come too far to get like this. Any words of advice or encouragement? Thanks!!

    Hi Lightnin!!
First let me say you are doing the right thing by reaching out for support. I really think that is the success to weightloss!! We all get down and out over our weightloss it just depends on if you let it beat you.
I have the same problem you are having it starts in Nov and Dec. It happend last year and this year. Last year I gained 14 pounds!! This year was a little better it was only eight. But now they are gone. Get that fat picture out and put it on your fridge or somewhere you will see it all the time and jest keep telling yourself "I'm not there yet!"
Take it a day at a time and reach out to your friends!! I wish you the best of luck!! Tia

    Hey Leigh,
I don't think FIT left anything else to say .
Seriously, you had your little fun with cheating and now it's time to get back on the wagon. 63 lbs. is an incredible accomplishment in itself. I don't recall seeing any before and after pics. Are you holding out on us . Think of all the things that helped motivate you before. From my 33 lbs. I gained back 4 in the month of December because I decided to take the month off. I'm 2 days back in now and ready to see the scale start moving the other way. Don't get discouraged now you've come too far.
Good luck to you and stay positive, Jae

Man all of you guys are AWESOME!! Your replies made me laugh and feel really good today. I have to hang in here with this...because I like myself so much better when I'm in control. I've just been having a really tough go of it lately. Thank you soooooo much for being supportive of a total stranger!!

As far as pics are concerned, I haven't gotten technologically advanced enough to figure out what I'm doing, but when I do, I will definitely post some for ya.

I have been on Phen since April, 2003. I have lost over 80 lbs. I have been real motivated and excited until recently. Ever since Christmas, I have been depressed and want to go ahead and eat. My main problem is night time eating. I suffer seasonal depression every January and February. Could that be what you are suffering from? I go to a friend of mine who is a psychaitrist for my depression...he is also the dr. that prescribed the Phen for me. I am in a rut and I need some support for a few weeks. I am afriad that I will gain a lot of weight and fall back into my old fat eating habits and just give in! HELP!

You ladies would be glad to know that since I made that original post that I have kept my calories around 1200 a day and have walked 3-4 miles per day. I'm not saying I like it, cause I don't--I would rather be eating cheese enchiladas and refried beans!!! But you know I feel so much better about myself. I appreciate all the words of encouragement, because I was feeling pretty rotten about myself that day. To the other ladies who are feeling like I am- just get out there and kick some *****!!

don't forget that maintaining the weight is another half of the battle. If you find that the next week or so is still to hard just try keeping the weight stable - it's safer than letting go & gaining & it's not as taxing as trying to loose all the time. You may need a break from all the counting & contemplating & just stay right where you are - not to mention it's good practice for staying at your goal once you get there.
