Does anyone sell on eBay? I have to ask you something if you do. I am having issues with them and I am about to go to CA and slap whoever took money out of my bank account to pay my seller fees! I owed $0 and they felt the need to take $7.65 making my seller account POSITIVE $7.65. I want to hurt somoene. They are JERKS. And no phone number to contact. They only have links to contact customer service. They ****! Ok just wondering if anyone had problems with selling and fees on eBay?

My bf does some selling and buying on ebay I will ask him about it tonight. Maybe Emma(focusedonfitness) could shed some light if she don't mind.

Same thing happened to me. I thought I'd already paid and then I get an online invoice for 7 bucks. I just paid it and I won't be selling on there again. I'll stick to buying

eBay has been having glitches with invoices for months now. They keep saying it's fixed, but it isn't. There is a number for eBay, but it's only for "powersellers."
I like to refer to ebay as NaziBay, but it's how I make my spare change and thankfully, I've never had any invoice problems. |

I had paid my invoice and they took it out of my bank account anyway! it was only 3.45 but i was trying to close that account so I had no money in it so that 3.45 costed me 40 freakin bucks!
Ebay did refund the 3.45 but not the overdraft fees. I just LOVE how they send an invoice but dont really take it out of your bank until almost a month later! thats why I went ahead and paid with my debt card, it took to darn long for them to take it out on their own! |

Uh oh, thanks for the heads up. I just reopened an eBay account to sell some things. I haven't had to pay them anything yet, but I hope they have whatever problems they are having fixed by the time my fees are due. I am tickled pink, I sold a bunch of left-over Avon stuff over the past week. I made $75! Too bad about $40 of it is spent already on purchases I made myself.
I am debating selling some of my collectible Barbies. Anyone know much about Barbies?

I would say do a search on Ebay for Barbie's and see what's up for auctions and how much its going for. I would think Barbie's would do well.

Sometimes its strange selling things on Ebay. I start my auctions at $1.00 most time. I could list a classic 50's telephone that I know is worth good money and hardly get any bids at all, but if I list a Super Soaker Water Gun I had laying in my closet, people bid on that like mad. I could make more off a Water Gun than I would an antique

Blippo, I experienced the same thing. The craziest things go like mad, but some of the things that I would expect to sell, no one is interested. I have some things (antiques) that I found when cleaning out my grandmother's attic that sold well, while other things did not. I found an old set of oil and vinegar decanters that were in the shape of a southern "mammy and pappy". I knew nothing about them, threw a Buy-It-Now price on them for $75 and they went within 10 minutes. Kind of makes me wonder how much they really ARE worth.
Anyhow, I was just pleased that I was able to unload the left-over Avon stuff that I had. Pretty much just broke even, but that is better than nothing!

They take forever to actually take your fees from your acct. That is why I set it up to draft from my American Express. I don't have time to check my bank acct everyday and I like it to be perfect to the penny.

I get an email from them today saying how sorry blah blah blah, all I read was eBay succccks. Anyway. They say they will try to refund asap, but sometimes it takes up to 60 DAYS! WTF! They are horrible with dealing with people who email them. I'm so annoyed with them. Oh well. What can I do now, BUT WAIT! Thanks for the feedback!

I am so naive-I thought you could just hop on there and sell-no charges to the seller LOL!!! Now, do you have to pay when listing the item, or only if/when it sells?

I sold a holiday barbie the first one 1989 I think. For $83. It wasn't in the box and was missing shoes and her necklace, but still $83!! Best deal I had. I sold my old car on there LOL! $521 it was a 1995 Saturn but it needed transmission work, (no reverse) and it was a dirt bag. Alex doens't know how to take care of a car. The outside looked ok though, few dents, and it had a resconstructed Title. That wans't my fault though, it was from a previous owner.

But it wasn't a lot so I didn't call anyone. Good luck with it!
