I do both. On ebay austalia i am dawndownunder65.
Its a great way of making money. Just selling stuff from around the house that i dont need anymore i made about AU$600. Now im looking into buying wholesale to resell.
I'm a buyer... unfortunately I don't have a credit/debit card so I can get a seller's account. I've got some stuff around here that I want to sell but I'm going to have to wait til I can get my bank to give me my debit card back. Stupid credit union rules.. lol.
I do both. I used to be really into the selling right before my baby was born. I estimate to have made roughly about $5000 selling off household things. I also raided my grandparent's attic and found a treasure trove of antiques. I sold a guitar from 1928 for $350!! It was a dime store generic one, but still it sold! All the things in the attic were in tip top shape. I had tin Army toys that my father played with as a child that were still in pristine condition (in the box) that I sold for $150. I was just thinking about selling off all my Avon supplies (used to be a rep and have TONS of start-up supplies!) because I have switched to Mary Kay (anyone interested?!). We are hitting up our storage shed this afternoon looking for potential things to sell. I still have some left-over antiques that I can do. It is easy, it is fun and you have the potential to make a large amount of money just sitting back and watching your auctions! I also buy things on eBay. It is most likely that ANYTHING you could be looking for, could be found on eBay.
Funny this topic should come up because I was just thinking about this last night.

I am a Longaberger freak... so I buy and sell. Same ID as my screen name here. I have made lots of good contact friends through eBay. We all share a love of Longaberger... so it is fun. I buy WAY more than I sell, that is for sure. But some times, I hit a rummage sale and see a cheap basket and if it is something I do not need, I turn it around on eBay. Works well. Helps to support my habit I guess.
I have been extremely lucky. I have not had one problem on eBay. I have had a few non paying bidders... but other than that... no on has taken my money and ran with it. I always check their feedback.. and watch what they sell. If you see someone sells all clothes, and they throw on a high end item like a computer.... I tend to stay away from that. Sure, it might be legit, but who knows. I did buy my digital camera off eBay, and then sold mine on there. We just upgraded one model. I got just about what I paid for my camera, and it was a year old. Worked out very well.
I love eBay. I am called the eBay queen by my family. It is great to be able to go on there and find things you can't find any more. I remember my Dad was looking for a Buttoneer. It was this contraption made in the 60's I think for popping buttons back on. He loved it, as he could put on his own shirt buttons in seconds if he popped one off and my Mom was not around to sew it on. Well, he kept saying "boy I wish I could get another one of those". Well, about 5 minutes later and at $10.00 it was on his way to his house. He was thrilled.
Ahhhhh... and 2 years ago, someone bought me the eBay board game. As a joke. It was funny.
I love eBay!

I am always a little leery about buying something "brand name" and expensive. eBay has come a long way in dealing with the scammers. Keep at them Miki. I wish you luck. I have been watching a few "big ticket" items but I am afraid to buy them. I would LOVE to get a new Palm Pilot, and found the one that I want for $155 (retail at stores over $200). I am afraid of getting scammed on that one, because it seems too good to be true. All-in-all, eBay is great. I like it, and hopefully sometime today, I will be putting some things up for auction. Wish me luck! If anyone would be interested, PM me.

I am a buyer. But mostly clothes for my kids and dragons for hubby. I dont get into the jewelery or watchers or other thing I know most likely are fake.
I mostly buy but I've recently sold my first 2 items! Very exciting. I'm completely addicted to ebay and my boyfriend has just about had it with me!![]()
done both mostly a buyer though Cant have enough junk
Seller. This is how I make my living. Through private sales and eBay.
I do most of my shopping there also.
both buyer and seller. I have so much stuff around here that I have to put on but haven't had much time. So instead I go spend all my money there lately![]()
WOW I am surprised at all the sellers here. I do both as well. Well I am a brand new seller, sold my first item the other day. I normally buy a few items around Christmas. Right now though I am trying to sell to make $$ for Christmas. I craft and even if I do say so myself I am pretty good. Sadly the item I am selling now on Ebay the poor picture just doesn't so my "Quilt style Sun Bonnet Girl’s Doll Wall Hanging Decor" justice.
I have been trying to learn everything I can about selling.
I sell and buy too! I have recently been selling some of my kids clothes they grow out of-gonna clean my grandmas attic in the next couple days, and see what I can find up there also. I am thinking about starting a little business at home-like make personalized gift baskets and try them out on ebay-like gourmet chocolates-or new baby baskets personalized with a name on the bib-that kinda stuff-I am listing some more hitngs tonight after I go out and buy a new webcam today-mine kinda ****s! if anyone wants to check me out over there I am clr51270......
to Miki I also got scammed on e bay. I was sold a fake Tiffany bracelet. So I took it upon myself to e mail the guy and threaten him with reporting him and he got on the defense right away and credited me back. Did you try contacting the person

I'd love to be able to start selling. Hopefully I'd be able to make enough $$ to get some phen when I decide to start it again.![]()
Im in the process of listing tons of Art books, paints, and crafty things..Im retiring from my painting to concentrate on graphite drawing....I could not believe some of the prices my old instruction books are getting...One called Tole Haven is getting around 85 dollars...geesh...thats 10 times what I paid for it a few short years ago...Im also listing a lot of nail supplies....Im getting out of that too..
So anyone interested in TONS of art supplies and Nail supplies take a look in a few days and see what I've managed to get listed..
Ive been a buyer and a seller for several years now.
In fact I bought my laptop with money from ebay
Only took me a month to make enough

"....treat others the way you want to be treated..."
We have bought a few things from EBay,,mostly with good luck. My hubby recently sold his motorcycle on EBay. Some guy drove all the way from Washington DC to Nashville to pick it up so that was pretty cooL!
I thought Jipi said we weren't allowed to give our eBay name at all (atleast this was what I was told when he took mine off), but if things have changed I am ************* there. I just had a brand new template made of Dru I'll be using this week so check me out. My listing blitz won't begin for a few more weeks, however, due to the move.![]()
oops I guess I had better remove mine then....Sorry.![]()
A lot of people did, keely, so I don't think Jipi's having a problem with it now.
I have bought and now I'm starting to sell. I was a little hesitent to sell at first, but its starting to go smoother now as I'm learning more about it.
You'll have it down to an art before you know it BlippoI have got to get busy listing too. Im such a procrasinator! *sigh*

I have been ebaying for about 3 or 4 years. I started out selling and then started buying. I've sold Amara and Breanna's baby clothes and equipment, I've sold video games and systems, electronics, my old clothes, etc. And I've gotten some really good deals on clothes. I buy a lot of Breanna's clothes on EBAY new with tags because of course, she wants Tommy and CK and LEI and Baby Phat and all that good stuff but I'm now about to pay retail when she'll grow out of it in 3 months!!! I just got her a brand new Tommy denim skirt (still had the tags) for like $3.00!!!
I am also known as the Ebay queen. My (ex)husband bought me the ebay game as well because he said I was spending way too much REAL money. LOL.
I also got a bunch of Dan Marino football cards for my mom's boyfriend last Christmas. He was thrilled and figured I had spent hundreds of dollars but I got them for a few bucks. It was his favorite present.
