Ok so this weekend we did the deed. LMAO Ok actually we were like rabbits. So then he SAYS I can tell your losing weight BECAUSE your gut is not slapping against me. OMG cause I didn't know what to do? Do you continue and wonder ok so the rest of the times did you feel like I was beating you with a wet towel? So I finish and go shower, I come out in just undies and he says wow you are much thinner you don't HAVE that lump there which he meant were saddle bags. I was like OK I understand you are trying to be nice but its not working. Ughhh MEN! But on a happier not I am losing tons of inches.

Dang girl I'm sorry that your hubby said those things to you. I know that had to have hurt your feelings. Maybe you should tell him that you appreciate him noticing the weight/inch loss but don't appreciate the way he talks to you about it. Most guys don't even realize what they are saying and how it sounds to their other half's. Congratulations to you on your loss so far!

Guys definetly do not know how to say the right things when it comes to weight. I'm sure he meant well but girl I know exactly what you mean.. it's more humiliating than a compliment.

At least your husband recognizes the weight loss. My husband tells me I'm beautiful and I look nice, but has never mentioned that I lost weight, or that he sees the difference. I'll ask him if I look like I've lost weight, and he says he can't really see much of a difference because he sees me everyday. He'll say I didn't look fat to begin with. Surely he can't be blind, cause he sure knows where my hotbox is.. that's what he calls my gibby...hehehe

I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but this is the funniest thing I have heard in a LONG damn time. This is the exact noise my arm flaps make when I'm working out. I could never pinpoint what it sounded like.. but yup, that's it!

Don't trade him in just yet, but a smack on the side of the head might do you both some good. Some people (not just men) aren't as eloquent as we'd like them to be. But the sentiment was nice!

Im soo sorry that he said that to you. Im very thankfull for my husband, now that he knows im serious about this he is very supportive! He tells me everyday that i look good and he gave me a 500.00 gift cert. to the mall so when I lose the weight I can go get new clothes!

Luckymom-that is wonderful--Kudos to your man! Mine always says it doesnt matter to him what I look like--whatever that means? I know I am lucky he loves me even at my largest but to say it doesnt matter what I look like--wait til his next company party--I will put curlers in my hair and throw on a housecoat and slippers and see if he cares then!

OMG That was so funny! Sorry, But that was a good out loud chuckle!! Actually 1st today! SO thanks for that. I wouldn't take it to personal though! Hey, if it makes him say anything remotly positive I think thats wonderful! In guy terms he was probably trying to be nice! Don't turn it into a fight! Just smile and be glad he noticed.
