Okay, I saw the posts about cold hands and feet, frozon noses, etc. So I have a couple more.

I'm taking 37.5 mg of Phen daily, and two multi-vitamins with chromium picolate and other things to control the appetite first thing in the morning. Taken the same thing now for three weeks. I'm also eating 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt about the same time to give my stomach something to work on.

The last week or so, about 30-45 minutes after taking the phen and vitamins, I've been getting nauseous. That lasts for about an hour. Not real bad, just enough to be uncomfortable.
(No, it's not that time of the month nor am I pregnant - both are physical impossibilites.)

I've also noticed that I feel like I have vertigo. When I turn or move, it feels like my brain is following just a split second behind the rest of my body.

I've tried not taking the vitamins at the same time and it still happens.

I've taken my pulse- it's fine. I don't feel like my blood pressure is up.

Doesn't seem to matter if I work out that morning or not.

Going to talk to my doctor the next time I go in, but wanted to know if anyone else is having that happen.
    Thanks, Lezlee

I don't get that vertigo thing unless I squatt down and then stand really quick. I have had the nausia thing though. Not all the time. You may find that you need to eat something a little more substantial in the morning. A piece of whole grain toast or something. Try eating and then take your phen 30 minutes to an hour later. It may just be hitting your system to hard on an empty stomach. And I've been told when taking vitamins to take with some kind of food. So, I don't know if this helps. But, I would try eating something a little heavier then just the yogart in the morning.

I was reading the side effects of Phen last night and it said it can make you dizzy or light headed. And upset to your stomach. The side effects should fade with the first week taking it as your body gets used to it though. How long have you been taking it???

Have you guys had your blood sugar levels checked? those can be symptoms of low blood sugar. I had that problem when I went on the atkins diet hardcore about a year ago.

I've been taking it since 10/23, so that's not it. My blood sugar was checked before I started on Phen, but not since then.

I'm beginning to think it might have something to do with the amount of calories I'm eating a day. I've limited myself to less than 1000/day, with most of days being around 900-999. So, I'm eating an orange as I type this. Don't normally have anything between yogurt in the morning and a piece of meat and veggies at lunch. Did some checking on the internet about 1000 calories a day diet and it recommends only doing it for a week or so, otherwise your body starts to shut down. That maybe what's happening.

I have a doctor's appt tomorrow to weigh in and get things checked out. I'll mention it to her and see what she says.
    Thanks, Lezlee

Alittle off the subject, but still a side effect - has anyone had problems with their monthly cycle being crazy! Mine comes and goes with the wind. Started today and just finished two weeks ago. What the heck!

Mim I am going to try the eating before taking the pill cause I started back today on new ones and let me tell ya I have been lucky to be able to get 330 calories in my body today. Not because I didn't want to eat more but because I have wanted to puke all day. I hope tomorrow will be a better day... might try half a pill till I get adjusted to these. Before I took the 30mg white tabs. These are the TINY blue and white tabs. The big blue and white tabs made me ill as well. I am hoping that is not the case with these. I will try for a week with hope.

    Heya Jade,
I find that if I eat one "normal" meal per week (like this past weekend I had a sausage sandwich with greasy onions and peppers at the Redskins game) that I lose better that week.

Also, on the weeks where I don't get my three servings of dairy in per day (I drink skim milk), I only average 2lb loss. On weeks when I mind the dairy, I lose 3lbs. Driking a 12 oz glass of skim milk is an easy way to get in both 120 calories and also fluids. I like drinking 2 12oz glasses, but you could also do three 8 oz (1 cup) servings.

Have you read the studies about lowfat dairy in the diet? They are pretty impressive. Adding skim milk would get you right up to where you need to be calorie-wise.
