emotional eater here! I eat when I get bored mostly. Or when I want to shop and I don't have money. I eat to pacify whatever it is that I'm needing at the moment. It's a terrible cycle that I'm trying to break!

I'm a social eater. There is nothing I like more than going out with friends to dinner or just out for a drink. There's just something about chips and dip and beer. It's social to nibble away while you're there with friends. And it's HARD to not do it. Some of it might be unconscious, but some of it is that it's just plain FUN. I have to not associate good friends with food I guess. I have to learn that I can visit and not be a pig. Okay, my head gets it...but somebody didn't inform my tummy.

I am a emotional eater/bored eater, etc. I get nervous, upset, mad then I eat. If I am bored I eat..... Ugggh depressing. Now though I eat something that is low calorie when I need it instead of my old habits of Big Macs and French Fries

I think I was just born with a slow metabolism. I eat very little my whole life yet I always gain weight. Im one of those people who have to eat healthy forever or Ill just gain the weight back.

Lil' bit of an emotional eater, but I have pretty much got that part of me under control.
Sometimes bordom, mainly though, I just have an addictive personality...can't get enough of a good thing kind of person, so I struggle with food proportions and just over eating in general. Mix all that in with a slow metabolism and we got ourselves a lil bit of big problem! lol!

I blame mine on genetics, on both sides of my family especially my Father's side my Aunts are seriously obese. As is my Father. I can eat regular meals and I have to exercise to the extreme just to get anything off.Plus I have epilepsy and I have to be on medication that has caused weight gain, so it seems I had no chance.

hmm.. well we were all probably expecting this although its sad isn't it.

That might explain why so many more women are here than men. I wonder what they do with their emotional stress - if women eat it away what do men do (of course I am tempted to say sex - but that can't be true)

Phoenix, a good friend of mine takes Topomax - she has epilepsy and lost a TON of weight and she didn't need to or want to. I know the medicine was for the epilepsy but i dont know why or how etc.
