I have been on the phen for a little over a month, and I have lost 11 pounds so far. But, it seems that there hasnt been much of a loss in the last two weeks. Also, it feels a little harder to stay hungry. Is it wearing off, or losing its effectiveness???? I really hope not. This is the first thing I Have been able to do that works, even if its only 11 pounds so far. I think one of my major problems is the lack of water. I have been trying really hard to drink enough water, but I get sidetracked, especially with the holidays approaching. Any tips for me? I am bummed and I really hope this is just a minor setback.

Hiya munk. Dont be bummed. You need to eat to lose weight dont forget. Also gotta work out too. The way I drink my water, is by chilling it. I hate warm or cool water...its gotta be ice cold or not at all. I also try adding some lemon or lime slices...crystal lite is a good substitute as well.
I dont take phen, but from what I have heard others say, it does wear off after awhile. Just stick with it and you will be fine.

I have been taking a 1/2 tablet of the 37.5mg dose. I try to take it around noon other wise it wears off too fast. When I go see my Dr. Im going to see if its a good idea to take the full 37.5mg but take 1/2 early morning and the other 1/2 later in the day. Hopefully that will help me from getting hungry in the evenings. I stick everything that I can in my mouth, and when Im done I feel so guilty its not worth it. I also eat because I get bored. I just got laid off of work on Wed. right before Thanksgiving I have been stressing because I live in a small town and there is much out there dont know how Im gonna pay bill, Christmas is right around the corner. The last two days I havent been to good but Im getting back on track tomorrow.

I take a 37.5 dose each morning. I seem to be doing ok with the hunger factor, as long as I do not skip meals. But, I just cant seem to get past 11 pounds lost.....I am trying to increase my water intake and trying to exercise more, but I just dont seem to be able to do it. I am trying to keep at a 2000 calorie intake MAX. For the most part, I usually stay around about 1500. Its just really depressing, I dont get it =/

Well, my doc said to stay away from the scale! Weigh yourself once a month .... if you can stand it! You will notice with your clothes fitting differently and when you DO finally weigh you will be excited to see the difference! Now, if I could just take my own advice...

Yeah, I definately wish I could do that. Its weird because it took three years for this weight to come on, it certainly wont come off in three days. But still, I am impatient.

Another problem I am having, and this has been really bad the past two days, is lack of food. Yesterday and today both have been such hectic days, with finals and putting our house on the market, that I havent been eating. When I finally notice I am hungry, I am starving. But whats weird, is when I sit down to eat something, I still dont eat much. Not entirely sure whats up with that. Unfortunately, things are going to remain this chaotic for a few more weeks, I only hope I can better prepare myself each day, especially by remembering to eat and drink water (both I have not been doing =/)

Hey Munk don't get discouraged. It will come off. You are going to have to work for it though. These little pills might be great but they do not work miricals. You have to do 95% of it!! When I 1st started on the phen I worked out 3 times a week and had about 2 liters of water a day. During July I realized that was not enough for me so I up'd it to 5-6 workouts a week and 3-4 liters a day. I lost ALOT of my weight that way. I say generally under 1200cals a day as well. Try and eat an apple before each meal, it tends to speed up metabolism. I also take B-12 2500mcg and 1 a day weight loss vitamins. Not to happy about taking that many pills but I know they are doing my body good. I also have a cheat day on Saturday. Anything game. Has helped me stay on this diet. Trust me.

Hi Munk- I know you've got a chaotic schedule right now, but if you can find the time to set up a journal at www.fitday.com (it's free) you might be able to pinpoint your problem. It tracks your calories, exercise, everything. Much easier than regular journaling on paper. Anyways, I just started a week ago after hitting the "brick wall" and I discovered that while I *thought* I was taking in a certain number of calories, I was actually taking in a LOT more and it's no wonder my weight wasn't moving. I guess my math was off! lol Well I hope that helps you, and Miki gave really good advice.
