First of all congrats on everyone for losing any weight at all!!!!

I went back couple pages and alot of you have lost 8lbs(or More) a month.

How did you lose at least 8lbs. a month?

In 2002 I lost 8.5 a month (for 3months only) on phen 30 mg with no exercise, no water, eating french toast for breakfast, Hamburges for lunch and sometimes even dinner, always had dinner late. I was 24 then.

Now I'm 26 and started 9/16/04 with 37.5mg sw 167 on
9/27 162lbs. today 164lbs??? couple days away from TOM maybe. I think its okay loss.

I know from a ?? I ask before the best thing to do is drink water, water, water. Thanks
Exercise!

But I would like you guys to share samples of what you had for breakfast, lunch, dinner.Do you exercise, drink water?

I'd like to applaud you and ask, what did you do to lose ___ lbs. this month?

I know what work for you might not work for me, but I just want to know how you helped yourself.

Im new since 091104 and have lost eight lbs but probably because it was my first mnth, oh ..but wait aunt flow came to visits and I gained 2lbs in one day so hopefully when she leaves she takes them with her....and all I did was make sure I eat breakfast Ive been eating raisin bran for breakfast with 2%milk and nothing but water If I get a lunch at work I try to eat something from lean cuisine(fast and quick) and dinner something small and thats making myself eat..I probably need to eat more, and what Ebony Poetress said is really good advise nothing after 7pm ..my boyfriend is a workout freak and that is what he is always telling me and stressin lots and lots of water if your hungry drink more water, drink 8oz before you eat, nothing after 7pm watch the calories do 3sets of sit ups ( me..haha yea right maybe 1set im working on it) and cardio exercise...

I've lost pretty good so far.. but I think maybe it has to do with what size you are to begin with?? I mean, I'm sure that's not the total reason, but in my own "uneducated" opinion as far as fat loss on a body, I think that if someone.. myself ok.. 5'0 frame weighing 210 lbs like I did when I started.. Lord knows I didn't need all that weight on me. So, I think since I wasn't feeding my body 3000-4000 calories a day like my big butt was before changing my ways.. I didn't need all that fat. So it starts to leave.. to me anyhow that makes sense. For my frame that's a lot of fat ya know.. I know my diet and exercise are a big part of it too.. but the rapid part.. I think is because of that... ??

Example: Breakfast.. either a packet of oatmeal.. the instant kind, I stick to cinnamon apple because I LOVE it.. and it tastes yummy and it's quick.. and a piece of fruit.. OR 2 eggs a slice and a slice of toast.

Snack: Granola Bar or Special K 90 calorie bar or fruit

Lunch: salad with boneless skinless chicken breasts or a healthy choice or lean cuisine meal or a low carb tortilla with some lunchmeat and a salad or fruit.

Dinner: Fish and veggies, chicken and veggies.. a salad..

I eat whatever I want to it, I don't restrict myself from anything.. if I want something that's not healthy per say.. like speghetti.. I have a palm size portion of it. I used to say I could never just eat a palm size portion of what I really really like... BUT.. I realize now that if I want a nice healthy good looking body and if I don't want to shop in the fat stores anymore.. and if I want to actually buy AND wear something that's so cute.. I HAVE to control myself and be grateful that I'm not on some diet that makes it where the only way I could have even a portion of speghetti is by having cheated.. and I make sure that it's important enough to me to stop at that. I could never do that til now. I say it a lot so sorry to repeat myself.. but I fight me.. I make sure the inner part of me that really wants a better me.. wins over the bad inside me that wants a HUGE helping.

I hope this helps. You only said a sentence about the water and exercise so I know it's not right to just assume I know what you meant, so, I'm just going to say .. that for a very long time, like um, my entire life, I always said "oh I want to lose weight.. " then people would tell me how key drinking lots of water and exercise was.. so then I'd say "I really want to lose weight.. yes, yes, I know.. drink water and exercise".. but now I realize how true that is. Drinking lots of water not only helps your body function better.. which helps your metabolism work better.. but it's also an appetite suppresant so you don't eat so much.. as long as your taking in that water. Exercise is .. that old saying move it and lose it.. It's funny to me.. but I really believe the key to weight loss and staying thin is simple.. heard it a lot in my 28 years.. but eat what you want in small portions, don't over do it.. make wise choices most of the time.. don't eat brownies all day long in small portions ya know.. exercise and drink water.. I'm doing that and I am losing.. I'm down almost 30 lbs since 8/10. Have a long way to go.. but I'm working on it!

Hope this helps you somewhat atleast!!!

Phen girl, another thing that helps me eat smaller portions is using smaller plates. Instead of using the regular plates for my meals, I'll use one smaller, also smaller bowls work too.

Heaven Sent.. ya know.. that's a good idea. We are going to be moving into a house within the next 6 months or so.. HOPEFULLY.. so I'm going to get all new dishes.. I'll just buy them all in small sizes so I can try to get my whole family to do this!!! Excellent idea!!! I can't do it now though.. we're staying with my Mom and I don't think the people in this house would be too happy with me.. LOL..

I think the more you have to lose the more you will lose right off the bat and then it tapers down. The best thing to help me is just to cut back on portions, try to be more active and the best thing of all--WATER!!! I have never been a very active person so I am not big on the exercise--but I have tried to do more than I used to do--which was nada! One of my faves is the Walk Away the Pounds workouts-because to be honest I was to big to do any other kind of workout video. I have also purchased a knock off version of the total gym and use it and it is very user friendly even to someone like me who is out of shape and uncoordinated!! I don't do alot at one time but I am getting better. I believe any little bit helps. And as far as the 8lbs a month --even if I only lose 2 it is better than before!!
