That rings a bell. Was also wondering about water gain. Thanks, Fit.

I have been taking antibiotics for acne (Minocycline). I don't take them for more than a week at a time but in the past week of taking them I have put on water weight...probably 2-3 lbs.

New here...but thought I'd sound in on this one, if thats ok?

I'm taking a tetracycline based product for acne as well and have been wondering about any possible interactions with phen. I have yet to begin the phen...will start next week.

I'm assuming you can take phentermine with tetracycline??? I have found nothing to indicate otherwise.

Should I ask my pharmacist just in case? Or has anyone on here taken the two in combination?

    THanks.

Does anyone know if antibiotics make you a grumpy, exhausted b|tch? I'm on 2 antibiotics right now and I'm MISERABLE. In the past I don't think I was like this though.

Well.. the only thing I'm sure of about antibiotics is that they can make you constipated. They have a tendancy to kill even the good bacteria in your body. I always make sure to drink more water and eat yogurt while I'm taking the antibiotics. The active cultures in the yogurt itself can help replace the good bacteria. I don't know if this applies in this case, but its the only thing that comes to mind

I was on 2 antibiotics, and TOM....I was an emotional wreck. Mad, sad, upset, happy....I would be laughing one min, crying the next. Things are better now...and I'm off the meds.

    You girls are hilarious! LOMA--
Hey *****--GORGEOUS boxer! I have 2 Rotts myself!

OK, so I don't think the meds are making me grumpy--but I AM PMS, which definitely makes me self-riteous and entitled (LOL)...The meds DO work well for middle-aged acne, BTW. I'm NOT constipated. Ithink it must be the incredible HUMIDITY that's killing me!

Missus How are you woman? Why dont I see you at our weekly thread much lately?

I have also been taking minocylcine for my acne as well (along with topical retin-a, bencycline, and now a bleaching cream for the spots-good grief!!) I was taking the minocycline for a little over a month before starting the phen, and I have been okay-I get hungrier now later at night-but I think its cuz I'm getting used to the phen. The only thing I remember with the minocycline was that I would get extreme headaches while in the sun-but that was before the phen. Do you only take yours 1 week at a time?
