OK, the exercise and try to eat fewer things I’m working on. But I’ve never actually had to “count calories” or anything like that. I’m a total newb at this. As I’m getting used to the Phen, my appetite increases more and more. I can say I’ve ruled out the following:
-Snacking between meals I just don’t do
-Cutting portion sizes (this one is hard for any man to do)
-Avoiding excess breads and pasta
-I’ve cut all ties to caffeine, with the exception of one cup of coffee I have to get every day from a local coffee shop because I’m in love with the woman that owns the place (not really, just a running joke). And it’s regular house coffee, so no mocha or steamed milk or any of that stuff.
-I never really drank a lot, but now Lite beer is the choice drink (my whopping 6 pack a year)
-I eat a lot of red meat. My family owns a butcher shop, so I have red meat readily in the freezer. Incidentally, working as a farm hand is what kept me in shape as a kid, maybe I should buy a farmBut the question remains, is red meat bad for you as long as it’s in the right proportions?
My normal day works something like this:
0600 Wake up and flip off the sun.
0615 Wake up again and crawl my ***** into the shower.
0700 Stop by the coffee shop and get my one coffee for the day
1000 Take my Phen
1100 Eat a small lunch, like today I ate a Turkey Sandwich with a little Ranch on it, no cheese. Also a cup of yogurt, the fruit on the bottom stuff. Usually just drink water now throughout the day.
1200 Get bored at work and find someone to discipline (Just kidding)
1600 Get done with work
1630 Get into the companies Fitness Center
1750 Check the scale in the Fitness Center and swear I’m gonna sew my mouth shut.
1800 Head for home
1900 Eat a small meal, and listen to my wife complain that I am never home enough![]()
1930 Play with my son, read a book, or play on the computer
2100 Put my son to bed
2110 Put my son back in bed
2120 Spank my son and put him back to bed
2130 I usually eat a Juice bar for a snack, because my wife likes popcorn and a movie or something at night. I do not eat anything heavy after this time.
2230 Get a paw in my face from the dog because I forgot to let her out before I went to sleep.
2300 Forget about a report that was due at work the day before, sit down at computer and start writing.
2400 Get back into bed
And the sun comes back the next day. Damn him, I hate him!
Either way, I don’t know about counting calories or if I should even worry about it at this point. I’m steadily losing weight, but starting to plateau as I realize my muscle mass is increasing again. But my overall Fat % is dropping. I say if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, but my wife insists that I use her stuff she had from Weight Watchers. I dunno, as a guy I feel sort of silly with a calorie counter at work.
What I’m really worried about is that I start school again in 3 weeks, and three days a week I have 4 hours of class after workI just wonder if it’s going to get me snacking during this time when I should be sleeping.
Not sure what to do next, any advice would be hot!
