    Question

    Ok, so what is your body type..you know, based off of the fruits...are you an apple? a pear? I am definitely an apple...small legs and thighs and butt, with a big tummy and shoulders...god, I love apples but I don't want to be one!!!

    And also, I've heard that different body types lose weight in different places? Does anyone know anymore about that??

    I'm a pear. small waist big butt!!! you're right I've seen alot of articles over the years about different exercises for different body shapes,but I dont remember really what they said.I do stuff that I enjoy.that works best for my body type

    I'm an upside-down triangle. I have smaller hips but bigger upper body. Thus I wear a size 9/10 pants but a 12/13 top/dress. Buying a suit, bathing suit...even dresses...is a pain. Thankfully they have separates out there!

    I am a pear. I have seen lots of articles but the only one I remember is my body type. Sorry girls.. I dont think about types that I dont have. Anyways for the pear, it is hard to lose weight in the hips, butt and thighs along with the stomach. They say that the pear shape is the hardest and that to target these areas you must do cardio twice a day once a week atleast to see results in specific areas. I will ask my trainer today what she thinks and let you know. I meet with her at 10 am.

    I dont really fit in the apple or pear category.

    I'm big on top, smaller in the middle, and then curvy on the bottom. Always been told I was an hourglass girl... all the right curves in all the right places.

    Thanks Dana!!!! And Y-I totally understand about the upside down triangle thing...I have a big stomach and shoulders and no hips or *** , and small legs....it can be hard sometimes to find separates, but I'm thankful for them too!!

    almost a perfect hourglass. I think there's supposed to be a 10 inch difference. I have a 9 ince diff... but I'm getting there.

    I am a Big oL *****ed pear. my measurements are as follows. 47,40,50 good lord 50 around the hips I used to be 36,28,38 goodness gracious.HOw i hAVE SPREAD.
    I just want out of the 200 weight range.

    If there were a fruit with BIG A&& THIGHS that would be me! tee-hee.

    I do know what you mean by certain body types loosing weight harder/easier than others. Michael Thurmond goes over that in his 6 week body makeover program. I think a lot of it has to do with natural body strengths & weaknesses, compensation factors etc... I have knock knees so my inner thigh muscles are weak - therefore "thunder thighs" but my but is very round & muscular (hence, my little brother's nickname for me G.B. - Ghetto Booty)

    Well, when I was a little thinner I was definitely an hourglass. But, now that I've gained weight (all around the middle mind you)...my hourglass has turned into a big fat tomato!

    I don't know what I am. I don't think I resemble any fruit, but possibly a pregnant string bean. My measurements are 41-37-44. I have a goofy body. I'm 5'10, but I have a 34" inseam which makes buying pants a REAL pleasure.

    Man it doesn't look there are many apples here, but you can count me in as one!!! I have a small butt, small legs, and a big ol budda belly!!! You gotta love it!! Actually it is worst for a person to be apple shaped cause with all the fat around your middle section you are more likely to have a heart attack!!!!
