I don't know what I am doing wrong! I can't get below 143 pounds. I am eating less and working out more. I take 30 mg. of Phen every morning. I hope I haven't built up a tolerance already. What can I do to jump start my loss again? I am starting to feel discouraged about my weight again. I really don't want to gain back what I have lost already.

Have u tried something new as far as exercise? What about your diet? Is there something that u can improve in your diet? Would u say u have been doing what it takes to get there? I usually ask myself these questions and come up with several different things I may be slacking on
What about water? Are u eating enough?

Goodluck to u

Do you want to trade magic numbers? Mine is 168 right now... JK Anyway, it always seems that no matter what weight you're at you're not happy. That's how most people are. But then, like me, I get up to 172 and I would die to be back at 143. Be happy with where you are, which doesn't mean you can't strive for more. Good luck!

Nuts, SF ice cream, butter, milk etc.

no carbs... just fat. and the next day --- I will have dropped a pound or two.

Weird, huh?

OK my magic number use to be 138 now it is 134 and it is driving me out of my mind anyway... Ok what are you doing for exercise and when are you doing it? If you are not currently doing some sort of cardio first thing in the am now would be a GREAT time to start. I have read that cardio first thing in the am is the most effective at burning fat because you have not eaten anything and so your body has to go to your fat stores for fuel Are you strength training? This is something else I would reccomend if you are not doing it already. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn even when you are asleep. Are you getting enough sleep? As strange as that sounds if you are not getting enough sleep your body cannot repair itself. You actually get stonger at rest not when you are working out you need your zzz's. How long have you been exercising? Take a week off of the exercising even 2 weeks and then dive back in and this will jump start your metabolism again. Sometimes your body just needs a break. And you know Annie is right sometimes you need to trick your body. I do that by eating 1600-1800 calories one day and then the next day I eat between 1300-1500 calories then your body doesn't think it is in starvation or getting use to the same thing. Have you have tried HITT? HIIT, means High intensity interval training. Do 2 minutes low intensity and go 1 minute high intensity (go high enough so that in the end of that minute you really have to rest, although I don't think going over 85% is very good). Do it for 20 minutes, no more, and only 3 times a week! This would definetly jump start your metabolism. Are you eating enough calories?? If your body thinks it is in starvation it will store all the fat and actually start to feed on your muscles You have to eat more than 1200 calories a day. You are suppose to eat at least 10 X's your weight in calories and not less then that when dieting. I hope I have helped, good luck, Tammy

I KNOW exactly what you are talking about.
I have been 150 for 8 months, and I've changed my exercise routine, and my water consumption and NOTHING!
I walked the first 6 months on was on Phen, and plateued at 150. So I changed to the Firm 2 routine, and have been doing it ever since, and the magic number is still 150. If you find out a secret, let me know.
Good luck,
Michelle

Thanks everyone! I will definitely try your suggestions. I know that I can get down lower than this. I am so tired of stepping on the scale and seeing that bright red 143 looking back at me! I don't think that I am not eating enough, but I don't count my calories so I really don't know. I do 20 minutes of Cardio 4 times a week, but not a lot of strength stuff, so I will try that. I would like to be at 133 or so. Maybe that last 10 pounds is the hardest to lose rule applies to me!! Thanks again I will keep you all posted.

You say you are only doing 20 minutes of cardio a day, how about adding 5-10 more minutes, or add 1 more day of cardio. Once you loose weight are bodies does not use as many calories as before when we were heavier which when we first start to loose weight that is why it comes off faster, You know the old saying the heavier you are the faster you will loose weight. When you are heavier or weigh more your body needs more calories in order to maintain that weight so as you loose weight the less amount of calories you actually need to maintain that weight and in order to loose weight now at your current weight you need to make a few adjustments to your exercise and/or diet and adjustments to your exercise is the best way to see results. WEight training is a great weight to tone up and adding muscle burns more calories, just adding 1 lb of muscle burns an extra 50 calories a day 350 calories a week! Good Luck, Tammy

I just wanted to add one more thing the scale it is evil and if you are like me you will become obsessed with it and it will be not be motivating anymore. I would exercise what what I eat for a a month or so and the darn scale wouldn't budge and then I would say the he!! with it, I am not going to loose anymore so why try I get the all for nothing mentality I have finally came to the conclusion that I am going to make a few changes, put the scale up and only check my weight once in awhile and take measurements to check my true success. It has taken me along time to realize it is not about the numbers on the scale anymore that is important it is how I feel and that I am getting healthier and looking better then ever! Tammy
