Thread: Why am I so hungry?

    I have been so hungry the last couple of days since really going out on my bike (9+ miles on Saturday 4 today not counting what I did last week) but I am so hungry. Is this normal? I am not hungry for the stuff I am normally hungry for like icecream and cookies and stuff but steak, hamburger ((MEAT))- the stuff I don't even want to consider eating. Am I burning something that I need that is making me crave this food or what? I don't even want to think about eating any red meat as I have lost the desire for it, but my body feels like I am lacking it. Helpppp?! Is there anything I can do for this? What is my body telling me?

    I agree with mads...you need more fuel. Eat more, since you are not compelled to eat the junk eat what your body needs.

    You're probably building muscle mass which might be why your body is craving protein. It's telling you it needs more protein!

    I agree with the above post. When your body craves something "healthy" like that, it is telling you it is deficent in that certain area. Before I started to take the Phen, I was having massive cravings for any dark green leafy vegetable or tuna fish all the time. After doing some research, I found out because I was low in iron and my body was putting in a request for it. Just watch what you eat, maybe the ice cream may not be the best idea unless it is frozen yogurt or low fat carb free ice cream. I found that Walmart has like two whole cases of low fat, low carb, low cal ice cream and ice cream items like bars and sandwiches. I bought a low fat low carb white chocolate/almond covered ice cream bar. Will let you all know how good that actually tastes when I eat one. Every where you turn now, it seems like they are coming out with healthier versions of junk food. I picked up a box of low carb Keebler cookies today to look at the nutrition info on the back. Only bad thing, a serving was ONE cookie and that was 70 calories. Too many I think for something so small. The ice cream bars only had 110. Has anyone else tried the healthy junk food and actually enjoyed it?

    Thanks guys, so you think its the protein I need? I guess I will start with the protein shakes again. Is red meat high in iron? Was thinking it could be that but then again I am not tired or weak.

    Bek I love some ice cream!!! (yummmm) Have you tried the Healthy Choice? They have peanut butter cup and a brownie with caramel. The brownie with caramel is delicious. There is another one that tastes ok it is by Skinny cow. But I am taking a break even from the icecream because it is so hard to just eat that 1/2 cup (haha they got their nerve) and although it could be low fat or fat free the carbs get ya
