Doc disappointed in lipo results

I just went to the doctor today and he agreed with me - we are not too satisfied in the results of the liposuction I had three weeks ago. The upper abdomen is still very big, but the lower is somewhat decreased. He's thinking it could be fat on the omentum or mesentery and that I need an MRI to tell for sure - which he ordered (actually he called my primary MD to have her order it - he said it could be a tumor so that it would be covered under my insurance).... But even so, if it is fat on the mesentery or omentum, I would need an operation to get it out and that incision would run vertically above and below my belly button. I don't know about that! I think I'll just try good old fashioned diet and exercise to take care of the rest. He said I did have an unusually large abdomen though and it puzzled him. All the while I'm thinking I WANT A REFUND!!! I mean I'm still more satisfied than I was before the surgery because my clothes fit a little better, but I expected much more.....

Missus - I'll probably just chalk it up as a partial loss I guess. I mean I did get something out of it, just not what I expected. I might get the MRI just to see if it is actually fat on the omentum, mesentery or what.

Can't they go back and do some sort of touch up work? I think I'd be a little more than ticked if that happened to me. Especially since I doubt it was am inexpensive operation.

That's kinda what I was wondering too, but I think he knows that he can't really because he charges separate from the hospital. So in order to redo it he'd have to cover the hospital's charges to do it free for me, you know? I don't think that'll be happening....

A cosmetic surgeon's livelihood is his referrals.

Think about it:
If you go around saying how dissatisfied you were with Dr. XXXXX's work then there goes his potential clients.

He should do EVERYTHING he can to make you happy!

Whatever you do, don't let him put you under in the office. I have heard sooo many horror stories about that. Either he just eats the hospital fees, or I wouldn't do it. What's this about a tumor??? Don't scare me now.
