anyone take prozac with phen?

I am looking for any info or advice about taking an antidepressant with phen. I have been so down in the dumps and b*tchy lately. Plus I have heard that prozac can aid in weight loss when taken with phen. Thanks for anything you can tell or share with me about this!

I am. I suffer with depression and take Prozac anyway. Prozac is supposed to lengthen the effectiveness of the Phen, not help or speed it up. Many people notice that Phen stops working after a while. The prozac is supposed to help the phen work longer.

so far i have been on the combo for 6 weeks. works great for me!

I took phen with Zoloft for a couple of months, but found that it worked better by itself... that and it kinda put a crimp in the ol $exdrive, so I quit the Zo and stayed on the phen.... much better.

just bumping this up hoping to get a few more replys.Thanks SweetMelissa! What is your current dosage of both the phen and pro? And what time of day do you take them? I use the internet for my phen and will probably do so for my prozac too. The doctors around here do not want to prescribe meds for weight loss unless you are extremely obese. I do take care of my heath and monitor my b/p. Any other advise would be great! Thanks all!

The first time I used phen wich was a little over a year ago I was already taking paxil. My Dr. switched me over to zoloft, he feels that it works better with the phen. I like the zoloft better because I don't have the (sexual) side effects as I did with the paxil. I lost 43 lbs. using them together. Hope that helps.

Just to let you know I take 100 mg. of zoloft and take it in the morning with breakfast. Right now I take 37.5 phen about 1hr. before lunch.
