    I only weigh myself every week or every 2 weeks. Well 2 weeks I ago I found out I lost 20 lbs. I was very excited. Since then I have not changed anything with my diet but when I weighed myself today I am the same weight I was 2 weeks ago. I was hoping to of lost 2 or 3 more lbs. What's up with that? I always hear people saying they hit a plateau, is that what I have hit? Can anyone else expand on this and tell me if this has happened to you or if you know why this has happened. Thanks!

    Weight Loss Goals!

    July Start Weight- 178lbs.
    December (now)- 153lbs.
    Valentines Day Goal- 148lbs.
    Birthday Goal (May 21st)- 140lbs.

    HI!

    Don't be dissapointed! 20 lbs is GREAT!!! and its awesome that you've been able to stay there-- I think you hAVE hit a plateau- happens to EVERYONE!! i felt just like you-- i had lost about the same amount and then it seemed like i was stuck-- but it will pass! I think it is just that your body has to adjust to the new weight- and you will start losing again-- maybe vary your exercise routine alittle-- or i have read to give your self a break from exercise for about a week-- and then start up again--

    i'm stuck AGAIN at about 142ish-- i stopped taking any meds about a month ago- and i have stayed at about 140-143 depending on the day! i was up to 168ish when i started in the summer!!!! So you can do it just don't give up!!!!

    Your doing great though...20 lbs is awesome to have lost! Im in the same boat too...I lost my 20 lbs. and im stuck...but Im jus makeing sure I keep up what Im doing so I dont add any more lbs. Jus dont give up k!

    Thanks for the support and its nice to know that others go through the same things! I will keep it up and hopeful my weight loss will get back on track soon! It makes sense that my body is just taking a break and getting used to the weight loss thus far and the PMS thing, could be a factor (next week for me!) So, thanks again to everyone and I hope I will be able to reach my goal by Thanksgiving! It's looking a little difficult to do but thats ok, just so there is no weight gain- I'm A-ok!!

    Hey Lucky, great job on the 20 lbs. I wouldn't worry to much about the standstill, it just means next time you get on the scale it will probably be another big surprise. I was going to pm you, but I guess you don't accept those, but I just wanted to point out that we are almost the same heighth and weigh the same thing! I am 5'4, and I weigh 158 also. I haven't lost any pounds in the past couple of weeks, but I have really dropped some inches. I think my body is just toning and firming up to catch up with my loss, but that's all good! What size do you wear? I am in a 14 comfortably, but I want to be a 12!!! If I can just lose the -teen thing in sizes, I would feel a lot better. Well, congrats and good luck on the T-Day goal.
