Hi CJTJ. Read your post. I see you're having some pain. Just wanted to know if you've had your blood pressure checked and if so, when? I think you should see your doctor tomorrow (if the pain gets worse, go to hospital right away). Definitely, I think you should get checked out asap. Let us know how it goes. Congratulations on the 8 pounds. Have a great day. Missus

Hi: This has been my problem too -- the chest pain and the feeling that I have to take a huge gulp of air at times to get enough air. I wish wish wish someone with a medical background was on here and could tell those of us with that problem if it is a common side effect of amphetamine-like drugs or if it is indicative of the beginning of PPH. There is so much controversary as to if phentermine alone can cause PPH.... I have seen doctors write-up and articles written by docs on BOTH sides of the issue. But would the phen cause PPH this soon after starting it? Or are these chest/breathing feelings a normal side effect. I wish someone out there could answer this!!!!!!!!!!!

I DONT HAVE THE GULPING AIR FEELING I BREATHE NORMAL I AM A SMOKER IS WANTING TO QUIT BUT AFRAID TO QUIT DUE TO THE WEIGHT GAIN ISSUE OF IF YOU QUIT SMOKING YOU GAIN WEIGHT ---UGH! I WOULD LIKE TO LOSE WEIGHT AND GET MY SELF IN THE HABIT OF EATING WELL AND THEN QUIT! I AM NOT A HEAVY SMOKER 5 CIGGS AT THE MOST A DAY USUALLY NOT THAT MANY! TODAY I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE PHEN AND SEE HOW I FEEL! SO FAR THERE IS NO CHEST PAIN IT IS MORE KINDA LIKE A SORENESS FROM A WORKOUT THAN SEVERE STABBING BUT I DONT HAVE TIME TO WORK OUT SO I KNOW ITS NOT THAT! I LOST 10 POUNDS AS OF TODAY!!!!! HOORAY FOR ME

Ok. I can only give u my experience. But to be honest u really need to consult with "your" physician.

I had chest heaviness with no pain at all. It felt so heavy that I had to take huge breaths of air to make me feel like I was getting enough oxygen.

What I did was skipped a day of meds it only took a day for the symptoms to go away for me and I started the next making sure I consumed enough water. If u are taking 37.5mg u should split it in half it could be too much for your system.

I only experienced it(heaviness) when I wasnt drinking enough. What an uncomfortable feeling it was. I slipped twice on my water when I was on Phen and when I did I had those symptoms.

Heaviness but "no chest pain" and I was under a doctors care as well. I am in the medical field. But I am not a doctor. What I have always been taught is to never diagnose yourself. Thats a doctors job. But u know your body better than anyone else and if something doesnt feel right to u. You should always see a doctor. Never wait around. This isnt to scare u. I'm talking about everyday life in general.

But to answer your question yes alot have felt that but like I said before thats only my experience.

If u are experiencing "pain". I wouldnt take it before I have my bp checked and have seen a doctor. Headaches and chest pain may be a sign that your blood pressure has gone up.
