Question
Does anyone know if the play/movie is about the writter/author, Virginia Woolf, that the movie/book "Hours" is about??? I can't find it in my encyclopedia? I've been told I'm the only person they know that watches movies with the encyclopedia! I tried to look it up on the net, but all that came up was stuff about the author of the movie "Who's Afraid of V.W." I never watched the "Who's Afraid of V.W." movie because of all the yelling that goes on. It took me 2 days to watch "Hours". I had to stop and go read about Virginia Woolf (the real person writter/author) and then go to the author's interview on the DVD to understand what the heck was going on!Thanks for your help. Dianne

Well...the answer is kind of complicated. The movie makes reference to the author Virginia Woolf and one of her novels, but it's not necessarily 'about' her. Click here for some interesting info.

Warning to those who have not seen the movie: the link could contain spoilers.

Edited to add: I sure do wish I could delete this post! I hate it when I misunderstand a question!

Edited again to add: No, 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' is NOT about the author Virginia Woolf.

That's okay Roxanne! I didn't know how to ask my question with out confusing everyone. I just was wondering if the "Who's afriad" movie was also referencing the "real" author. I finally figured out "Hours" after spending hours on it! I like movies that lay it all out for us simple minded viewers. BUT, once in a while "a makes you think" movie is good. Dianne
