I'm on my 3rd week taking Phen and I'm still stuck at 5 pounds. My clothes are a little baggy so I know I'm losing inches. Could someone please explain to me how this is so? How can I be losing inches, but not weight? At what point will I start losing the weight?

With 2 small children, it's difficult for me to find the time to workout. I just ordered the Winsor Pilates tapes so I can at least be doing something at home. Has anyone tried these? Did they work for you?

Thanks guys!

well I am definately not an expert but I do know that you can lose inches and not pounds and firm and tone with exercise - muscle weighs more than fat so if you are exercising and not losing weight than more than likely you are losing inches instead which is good ~ With no exercise I am not sure but I know alot of people that diet that use the tape measure instead of the scales because of the variation in water weight and such things- you can have a day where you weight more due to bloat and water and if you measure you will see that is it only in the abdomen and then understand that you will also lose that quicker than fat ~ Hope this helps !! suz

Thumbs up
I LOVE pilates!!! I want to order the Winsor tapes. I took a few private lessons and went to a class for months but now I must do everything at home because of time and I need to do cardio- I have not lost any weight doing pilates - and I really do not think I have lost many inches - BUT I feel so GOOD after I don't care! I stand up straight now and I have gotten rid of all of the lower back pain I used to have from being on my feet all day. Let me know how you like the tapes - I will hold off ordering until you do a review!! Pilates is hard if done the right way so don't get discouraged at first - in no time you will fly through your hundreds (pilates exercise)!!!!!!!!!

I cant really explain it, but I'm living it. Most weeks I only lose 2 lbs but lose about 5-6 inches over my total body. One week I didnt lose any pounds but lost 6.5 inches. Weight can change so easily due to water weight gain, or bloating due to your cycle each month.

I weigh myself and measure every Monday and keep track. Seeing that weekly change is really motivating!!

I also have 2 small kids at home, two girls ages 3yrs and 7 mos. So I know how tough it is to get out and exercise, but you have to find the time. I do the bodyflex video and the Walk away the pounds by Leslie Sansone. (?)

They are both about 20 minutes long (1 mile tape, the 2-3 mile is longer) and my 3 yr old loves to do them with mommy. lol Shes lucky though, she drops out and picks back up whenever she pleases.

Dumbbells are also easy to do with small kids around, just a few reps in between story time and fixing meals makes a BIG difference.

Good luck

Phew! I am glad I am not the only one who is stuck! I started on Jan. 21 and I have only lost 2-3 lbs. I wonder if I have not been eating enough & my body as gone into starvation mode? I find that exercise is the thing that gets the lbs to come off, but w/two young boys it is hard for me to find the time too. Good luck

Me too.. I havent lost any real weight since before Thanksgiving. I have been going to the gym alot.. working on cardio and my upper body and have gained about 5 lbs!

If youre looking to lose weight/inches, you may want to begin with cardio. If you cant get out, get the walk away the lbs tape.. i hear its great!

Eventually the weight loss will continue..

good luck to you!
