I'm new to this website and love it! I've lost 14 pounds and have about 15 more to go. My question is, I'm starting a new job in a couple weeks and have to have a urine drug screen this Fri a.m. Will phen show up? Do I just let them know ahead that I'm taking it for weight loss? I'd read somewhere that it can maybe show up as an amphetamine and I don't want to "flunk" the test. Should I not take it for a couple of days before? Thanks for all your help!

It will show up in a urine test. Since you have a valid prescription, you shouldn't have a problem. There is a form you have to fill out at the time of the test that will ask you to list any medications you have taken in the past 30 days. List it on there and have your prescription bottle with you in case the tester asks to verify it. Better to be upfront about it instead of trying to hide it.

Yes, phentermine can cause a false positive. If you have a valid prescription, it shouldn't be too big a deal, just show it to the testing people. Erowid says amphetamines in general are detectable 24-72 hours later. I would go with the 96 listed for meth to be safe. I'll give you the link to the info i found.

Thanks for the quick answers! I do have a valid **, but I ordered it on line so the doctor and ** is from Florida and I live in Indiana. Do you think they will frown on that? I just wonder how people view getting prescriptions on line as opposed to going to a local doctor. If they think it looks shady, that is. I was going to a local doctor to get the prescription, but it was $75 per office visit and all he would say was, "What can I do for you?" and then "See you next month." So, I order on line now and that saves some money. He did run all the tests before I started taking phen and they were fine.
