I have been on phen for 4 weeks. Weight loss is going well. I do sweat more than usual, but in TX it's hard to tell the difference. About a week ago I noticed that more distance vision was not as sharp as it had been. I had LASIK 5 years ago and have had very consistent vision since then. The only experience I have had like this was when I used a scopolamine patch on a boat trip. If anyone has had this please let me know. I can live with it if I know that my vision will sharpen again when I am not taking phen. Please share. thanks

I had vision changes on phen also. I couldn't see as well far away, I don't wear glasses or contacts nor have I had corrective surgery. When I went off phen it did clear up but it took a while... couple of moonths.

Hope that helps and best wishes to you.

Thanks for responding. I can live with it if I know it will go away. Even if it takes a few months. I am thinking of taking a week off in a few weeks, so I can jumpstart myself again. I'll see what happens to my vision then.

Hey Tookie, I'm sure what slowfoot has shared with you is all there is to it, but....let me suggest that you not assume that it's just a part of the phen. My fiance was just diagnosed with diabetes and his vision...all of a sudden unable to see far away as well as usual...was the first symptom and we had no idea that it could be a symptom of diabetes but that's exactly what it was so...just thought I'd mention it so you could be aware, not to worry you, just to be on the safe side....ya know? I think anytime someone has a drastic change in their vision it should be checked out with a professional if at all possible.

    Tookie,

I agree with fancy that you should have it checked out. Here is another possibility though...my wife claims that my pupils dilate somewhat when I take phen (I think they just look bigger now that my face isn't as large in comparison). This dilation, if it is real, could cause a little blurred vision. I know that I have had a little trouble with distant sights and with bright light as well. Just another thing to consider.

I haven't noticed a difference in my vision but I have noticed that the corners of my eyes seem red. Sort of blood-shot. But I don't feel discomfort at all. Just an odd side effect I guess but I'm not going to worry about it unless I pop a vessel in my eye or the thing falls out of the socket. I'm not sure about my pupils. Never paid attention. If anyone knows of a reason I should be concerned about the redness, by all means, please let me know. Otherwise, no worries here.

Okay, I've thought about it and now into my 3rd day and dose of phen, I think the blood-shot eyes come from plain old lack of sleep .

I too have had vision that was not as focused as it was before phen...pupil dilation as well...who knows, maybe it's an age and phen coincidence.
