Okay, I know we've all posted about gaining some weight back and all that jive...but I was wondering, I stopped taking phen last Friday and today my scale reflected a 5 lb weight gain. Can someone please (PRETTY PLEASE) explain why this may be so (WITH A CHERRY ON TOP). If my scale's gonna start to increase by pounds, I'm about to jump back on phen!! I was gonna try and do the weight loss thing on my own.
Side note: I work out almost ever day, and the only day I didn't work out was last Saturday. Ummm...what else? Ummmm...that's about all. No serious cravings have krept back...all I gotta say is: DAMNIT!!

Wow we can say damnit? Thats pretty cool with all the other words that get *** out.
I have no clue as to an answer. We all tend to teeter with the scale by a few lbs daily. Reweigh at the same time daily or skip it totally and do it weekly. Deb |

If I gain any more, I'll chuck it out the window because I feel awesome. I know, I know- screw the scale and reflect on how ya feel. I did that before...thought I looked great, took a picture, developed the film, saw my pic and said, "MMMOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
I was suprised that I didn't see: ***** for damnit too. There is a phen God!!

OK, I hear you, you're royally ticked off.
Now - ponder this. Ever hear anywhere that there's a big ole difference between numbers on a scale and what's happening inside your body? Is it possible or even likely that, just because you stopped phen for four days, that you gained five lbs. of fat? Well, 3500 cals/lb. X 5 lbs. is 17,500 extra calories; consumed over four days, that would mean 4,375 EXTRA calories each of those four days. You might do that one day, but not four. I agree, even if it's just water, 5 lbs. of water is still 5 lbs. of something & it sure doesn't help you zip up your jeans. But real fat loss (which is, after all, the real goal here) takes time to achieve; real fat gain also takes time to achieve. Fluid shifts (water gains/losses) can be extremely rapid by comparison, so any time you see a big difference either way in a very short time frame, suspect a fluid shift as the cause. I don't know if this makes you feel any better; but I hope it does! Hang in there; lots of people successfully lose weight without phen. You can too, if that's your choice. Good luck, Lee |
