I keep reading about everyone who hits a certain point in their weightloss and then that's it. Well now it's me! I lost 20 pounds and for the past 2 weeks I just can't move down at all! I didn't change my eating habits from when I started this diet and I keep excercising and I drink a lot of water! YUCK! ANy advice. I eat no breakfast, 2 apples and a yogurt for lunch/snack and whatever I want for supper, just a really small portion. Tonight spaghetti, last night chinese....you get the point. Help me please! I don't wanna get discouraged and then end up quitting like I have in the past! THanks!!!
Do not judge another unless you have walked a mile in their shoes!

hey there! I know we NEVER think the plateau will happen to US! But it does... I would suggest you start eating something for breakfast since thats the meal that sets your metabolism for the day. Even a shake or one of those meal bars.

Have you been exercising? cardio should work well, but it takes some time.

I have been at my plateau for about 3 months now. Maybe its time to concentrate on inches instead of pounds? Good luck to you... dont give up!!!

Try eating more often. Like 6 small meals instead of 1 small and 1 big. It can make a big difference.

20 pounds in 2 weeks is pretty hard core! I say just be happy with that and keep doing what you're doing and be patient! Also, sometimes I eat something fattening after eating healthy all week and I actually lose. This happened last night actually, I ate 4 chocolate chip cookies yesterday morning along w/ some cookie dough and I lost 4 pounds overnight! Also, once I had eaten like a bird all week and then pigged out at Johnny Rockets one night and lost 5 pounds! Last time I was on phen I lost 17 lbs my first month, 2 pounds my second month, 9 pounds my 3rd month and about 7 pounds after that. Problem though, I started eating again.. not really fatty stuff, but just regular food, and I gained it all back plus 15 in about 5 months. You have to eat! This time around I'm losing slowly. I've lost 25 lbs since November but I'm eating more than I did before! Just stay w/ it and be patient even if it takes a year!

Nat, breakfast is the most important meal of the day (break fast) it starts up your metabolism and provides a kick start of nutrients to the brain.

I suggest you eat more.... reading what you are eating sounds to me like your body thinks you're starving and is reacting accordingly. I remember when I first joined this forum there was a post by someone who was eating 800 cals a day and had stopped losing weight... she went to her Dr and he turned around and told her to go home and eat some bread... she did and the weight loss started coming off. To prevent your body going into starvation mode you need to eat a minimum of 1000 calories a day (some people say 1200).

Remember phen is an aid not a cure by not eating appropriately while on phen you will STUFF UP your metabolism... the idea is to increase it not slow it down even further.

I hope this hasn't been too harsh but it scares me when I see smart intelligent women starving themselves.

I agree about eating small meals throughout the day, and definitely eat breakfast...maybe try not eating late at night (I sware by that) and/or limiting your carb intake if you don't have enough activity to burn the carbs off. It sounds like you are off to a great start, and I want to wish you continued success!
