Question
I have had some weight loss with Phentermine but not as much as hoped for. So I am now looking at options. Can someone tell me a little more about Meridia? How exactly does it work and what are the differences between it and Phen? I just want something that is going to work well with my body chemistry, and its much more expensive so I was hoping for some info. Thanks

Im curious....
you said youve been on for 2 mos.?
What did you start at... and how much have you lost?
What mg. were you taking?
What was your exercise routine and food plan?I did Meridia and didnt see any weight loss.. yes it is expensive. Phentermine is the cheapest of the prescription diet pills. It is indicated to work for up to 3 months at which point the body builds up a resistance. Therefore it is useful for a quick start.Meridia balances two very important brain chemicals, serotonin and norepinephrine. This helps to increase metabolism and causes a feeling of fullness and increased energy levels. Studies indicate that sibutramine assists in both weight loss and management in the longer term. It is approved for continuous use for up to two years, however studies have shown up to 1 year to be optimal.

I totally agree with you. Very little weightloss on Phen this time and no sleep at all. That's the hardest part.
I ordered Bontril. Maybe a change will be good for me. I should receive it today and I'll start tomorrow. I ordered the time release 105mg. I was thinking of ordereing Xenical as well, but it's so expensive.

Be careful if you choose Zenical. I took it with Meridia. It has some very YUCKY side effects.
That happen to everyone even if you eliminate most of the fats in your diet. That is how it works. zenical is good for when youve already accomplished a major part of your weightloss... to keep from storing additional fat while you are taking off the last part of the excess weight.
For phen NoT to work... it seems you shoud be looking at what your doing or not doing with diet and exercise before trying another drug.
