Hi there! I haven't had to go thru the potty training yet (my daughter is 9 mos) but I have read before that 2 years old is the ideal age. Although it sounds like you are already half way there...she seems interested at least. Good luck!

If your 18 month old is ready, it is absolutely the right time

What's the harm in being ahead?

Good luck to you

Potty training is difficult before the age of about 2 and half because of muscle development. Most people who potty train before about 2 and a half are actually doing what is called potty timing. My biggest problem with training before 2 and a half is that a lot of time there are so many accidents that the child doesn't feel as successful as they should - I say let her run around with the potty if she wants let her go on the potty if she wants - but I would not take her out of diapers or even try to train her before she starts taking the diaper off and heading towards the potty - that is when they are ready. hey rene.. When my girls were 18 mos, I bought them pottys. Theyve gone in them a few times, but they spend more time playing with them. They sit on them, and laugh! They put their babies on them and tell me "mommy... the babies are going potty!" but ... they wont go anymore. I have decided to give it a lil more time. They will be 2 1/2 in March and if they dont come around by then, We are going to have a serious talk!
