Anyone switch from Phen to Bontril?

I have read several different posts about Bontril. It seems as though once the Phen stops working they've switched to Bontril and have great results again.

Has anyone had this experience? Is Bontril a appetite suppresant too?

Would like to know so I can plan my next few months.

Hi! I would also like to know which med is effective once phen stops working. The first 2 weeks I lost 12 lbs. total. Then...... the third and fourth week, it had absolutely NO effect on me - the dry mouth recovered, and I was actually so hungry in the evenings, my stomach growled very loudly!! I have an apt. w/ my Dr. this Saturday and was wondering what other things ya'll (yes, I am from the South) may have heard about that have had good results.

My hubby and myself are kinda on a weight "deadline".... We have been together for 8 years and although I have 3 children of my "own", he does not have any. We had started trying w/ fertility treatments in Nov., 2001 but the very same month, I was hit in a head-on collision by a kid who fell asleep at the wheel. Needless to say, 2 surgeries, a new vehicle, and months of physical therapy later, my knees will never be the same. But, they cannot make me any better than this, so we have the green light to go ahead and try again for the baby!! Since I am a teacher, we have the summer planned for the ideal timing for baby making. However, I don't want to start out 80 lbs overweight, so I am trying to lose as much as possible before that. If phen isn't working, what will??? : )

Hi! I have recently switched from Phen (2 months) to Bontril. I have only been taking it about 4 or 5 days so far. Really bad dry mouth again but it does seem to be suppresing my appetite better. I take it at around ten and I don't even get hungry till about five but I'm not starving. So far though my weight has been the same. I have been stuck at the same weight for about a month. I was on phen for a long time, was off for a few months & tried it again. It did nothing the second time. I was off for a few months and started Bontril two weeks ago this Thursday. It supresses my appetite SOME, and I don't feel the energy (or euphoria!) that the phen gave me. I may have lost a pound or two, but I have been watching what I eat way more than two weeks ago. I would love to think it's working, but I still am not positive that it is...I keep changing my mind! I am taking the generic time released Bontril. I would like to try phen again in a year or so.

Interesting that Bontril. I think I might switch after I finish this bottle of Adipex.
