Hey there..well Im back from my drs appt. He said that he wants to use surgery as a last resort, espcially with the shape my back is in. I have to go to physical therapy every day for 2 weeks and I cannot work until I see him after my therapy is over. I hate the thought of being off for 2 weeks and not being able to do anything but I suppose it is better than 6 months. He thinks the physical therapy will help relieve the pain. He told me I have the spine of an 80 yr old woman lol. anyway I am thankful that i have options other than surgery. I just wish it would fix it in a hurry.

Thumbs up
Physical Therapy is hard and painful, but worth every second!!!!! I had 12 years of it - but I can walk (they weren't sure if I would be able to when I was born). My dad did about 4-5 years (slipped disc and other assorted back problems) His back isn't perfect - he has got to be careful, but he has full function and is not in pain!!! Stick with the therapy it will really pay off!!! I swear to you!!!

Great news! Stay determined and POSITIVE for yourself as well as your kids and it will help during those PT appts.

Good thing! Just think...stick with physical therapy for 2 weeks, and then you can fix some roasted garlic chicken.

Wow. I am relieved to hear you don't have to have the surgery right away. The therapy isn't going to be fun. But at least you won't be down for 6 weeks because of surgery!

Hang In There.

I know 2 weeks at home is not the best thing in the world right now, but its better than the alternatives.. I hope that your PT goes well.. please take it easy, as much as you can.
