Hi Stellar! I've been on this machine all day today. That is terrible. Didn't fix my husband lunch. I'm a bad girl. I read your post this am about Johnny Depp, etc. Did you say you are part Cherokee? If so, do you have any relatives in Oklahoma? You know, the trail of tears. Post me when you get a chance. Missus By the way, my father-in-law, and sisters-in-law live in Kankakee. Some are principles, teachers, etc.

Hey! Thats weird that you asked me that. All my relatives, even my white relatives are from oklahoma. The problem though is that all my anscestors were so poor that I haven't been able to trace my roots. My Grandpa went back to Oklahoma before he passed away to find his dads grave and since his dad was a poor farmhand he was buried in a cemmetary with hundreds of other poor people in unmarked graves. Most of what I know of my anscestry is just through word of moulth.
I can say that everytime I think of the cherokee trail of tears it breaks my heart. Theres just so much sadness in our countries history. Theres also a lot of good and I love my country and I'm glad I live here.

I live in Illinois now but I actually grew up in oregon and California.

Good Morning Stellar! Hope you are having a great day. I was trying to figure out how to send some info to you for investigating you lineage. I have friends who get stipends and housing (in Oklahoma) because of Indian blood. I can't get my hands on the info now, but I'm working on it. Also, my sister-in-lsw told me that there is some legislation on free schooling anywhere in the United States. I will get back to you when I get the info. I will most likely have to pm you.
