Unhappy
I can say as of right now I have probally gained all my weight back if not more. It all started when I had my bottom teeth pulled. There went my salads I love so much. I started eating puddings.
Than it got to the point I couldnt get full. I needed food. I started eating those instant mashed potatoes w/cheese and bacon etc. Than it was home made mashed potatoes w/****er. In the mornings I have four pieces of wheat toast w/****er and my homemade jam. The ****er makes the toast soft. I eat that around 8:30 a.m. than around 11:00 I have a bowl of cereal. (no sugar just with splenda) around noon I have 3 corn dogs, for a afternoon snack if i can buy a candy bar I do. sometimes two. (choclate) I eat dinner if I can unless its meat. I will eat everything else. Up untill about two weeks ago I was drinking water. Never pop. Now its pop and hardly water. My medicine I'm on makes it so I have cotton mouth so I buy mentos. Its nothing for me to eat a whole package to get to where I'm going and back. (driving) Also for lunch if I'm in town I will go to a drive through and order fish or chicken strips w/french fries. Was with water, now with pop. i had to try that new choclate banana shake at jack in the box. I drink my coffee in the morning with irish cream and splenda. That was something I did have in the mornings no matter what. I don't know if it was the phen or what but I was down to 1 cup a day!Than the doctor says the possiblity is there that i might have m.s. so shes running some more tests. I'm thinking yea right have you ever heard of a fat person with m.s.(mulitple sclerosis) So thats where i stand. i dont exercise, i'm so tired during the day i just cant i sleep. When i have errands to run in town I have to prepare for them so i will be awake. Same for picking my daughter up from school and picking her up. When i'm on the computer like I am now just writing this my eyes get so tired I have to go back to bed. My house looks really bad. I've got dust balls every where and i need to vacum and dust. I've got clothes on the kitchen table that need to be folded and put away. But you know what i dont care. i'm just to tired. I do, do my dishes by hand. Every day. Well thats it folks. I dont know what else I have to say....................Yes, i still do want to lose weight but i'm just so tired. And yes i was tired when i first started the phen to.

Can you afford a session or 2 or 3 with a counsellor? I'm posting my report about the new Consumer Report's article on diet and weight loss. A substantial % of those who were successful at weight loss, especially those who had failed in the past, had benefitted from the services of a counsellor. A group (like Weight Watchers) probably works as well, and is less $.

The 'decision point' -- where we are go/no go at eating inappropriately -- is mental, not physical. I think that people can be trained to think differently and to 'catch themselves' at that point. This is behaviour modification, and thinking modification. I think that something like this would help you

Hi Fay,
Just a thought but have you ever had a sleep study? I had sleep apnea and felt the same way you do. Did they check your oxygen level in your blood? just thought I would mention this sleep disorders can really mess you up.

I've alreaday had the sleep study done. I'm okay in that department. Probally talking with someone might help i dont know.I think setting my mind to it again is what i'm going to have to do.
When i was smoking i tried to quit a few times. But, no luck. I really like smoking. One day at my doctors visit she calmly told me that i will probally have a heart attact if I keep smoking. I cryed that night, had one smoke and quit. That was Oct.31, 2001. I'm just going to have to do the same thing with this weight. . Thanks All

Hi Fay,
Hang in there. You are on this forum and that is one good thing you are doing for yourself. Have you ever been checked for depression? I experienced something similar to what you are going through before I got treated for it. I was so tired and everything was such a major effort. I also gained weight. I did start with a councilor and after a few sessions she referred me to a Dr. for meds. which I continue to take and am doing great on. Good Luck.

I take celexa too. It sounds like you need to up your dosage or switch to another drug. Do you ever notice how shampoo or antiperspirant seems to stop working the same way after using it awhile? Well the same thing can happen with drugs. I had a long talk about it with my Dr. because I was worried I'd become immume to everything out there. She said there are plenty of choices and not to worry. But I usually upped my dosage once a year (after trying the on and off bit) and after three years or so I switched from paxil to celexa. I'm lucky I don't have negative side effects. I'm on my third year with celexa also and up to 60 mgs daily so next year I may swich again. Keep me informed on what you do.

What sex life? Does that answer your question. I have a 7yr old and am a single mom and have had no relationship since Nick was born. I've also gained 100 lbs in those 7 yrs. Fear of another relationship gone bad probably. I guess I have my own head case and should see a councilor. Sorry if this is too much information!
