I just started taking Phentermine about 1 week ago and was wondering if what I am experiencing is normal, I get a very nice energy burst about an hour after I take it that lasts about 4 hours or so and then I have a huge CRASH! I spend the evenings sick to my stomach with nausea and extemely tired. The other thing that is causing a problem is that I am having a hard time driving on this medicine, my vision is a bit blurry and I get very paranoid. Will these side effects ever go away? I am taking 1 (30 milligram) blue and white capsule per day. Thankyou for any response to these questions.

I'm only taking 15mg and I get a mild energy burst but I don't really crash. It just wears off by evening; I'm not exhausted just tired but I get up @ 5am so that's not unusual.

I have no bad side effects yet...been taking it since 2/15.

Have you called your doc to report the possible side effects. If not I would do so soon. Good Luck I hope it gets better.

ok first off are you eating?? you may not be eating enough. what you are describing sounds like a major blood sugar drop. This usually happens when you dont eat, I have to eat before I go to bed, when I actually make it to bed, or Ill wake up feeling like Im going to pass out and barf. Keep some fruit, orange juice, or such and some type of protein handy. If you feel this happening, then drink some juice or eat the fruit, for the burst of sugar and then follow it with the protein. I find doing this helps a lot. The body uses protein slower so the blood sugar stablizes better. You must eat about 1200 calories a day. Do not fast! If this continues talk to the doctor.

I had the same thing at first also. I would get extremely tired and my muscles ached constantly. this would start around 4 or 5 in the evening so I started taking Phen around 2 or 3. At 9 I was ready to go to bed and slept well. I do believe it will go away with time for sure

I started phen a couple of weeks ago and have experienced some of the same symptoms. The nausea and cramping went away after a few days. I still notice the blurred vision a little, mostly if I am driving at night, but the doctor said that is normal. Because phen is a stimulant, there are going to be side affects but there hasn't been anything so bad that I have wanted to stop taking it. Make sure you eat breakfast before you take your pill and drink a lot of water. That will help with the cramping. I didn't have severe crashing like you described but I have noticed that I am worn out in the evening. For the first few days, I was sky high until midnight and had a hard time sleeping. Now I feel drowsy by 9 and have no trouble sleeping. Give yourself a few days to adjust and make sure you are eating a balanced diet. Eat small amounts every couple of hours and drink drink drink water! Good luck to you and be sure to check with your doctor if you think something is wrong or if the side affects are outweighing the benefits.
