The Phen is working great for me, I really love what it is helping me do...BUT, I do have some issues
1. Can someone tell me why I am constipated and can only go the bathroom when I take some of that magnesium stuff (yuk) even then I don;t go very much (sorry if this is gross!!!)

2. I used to be energized all day long, however, now, at 12:00pm everyday I get so tired I don't know what to do with myself. I have been getting enough sleep so that's not it. What can I do to not have this feeling in the afternoon. I'm only halfway done with my shift and I feel like I am going to just die. Then about 3pm it goes away.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS (sorry for 'yelling' but I am desperate)

have you been drinking enough water? what and how often are you eating? i just started feeling tired a couple days ago in the afternoon but when i thought about it i had slacked off in the water department and wasn't really eating like i should. i'm back on track now also because i think my body has gotten used to regular exorcise. i know everybody is differant but i hope this helps. be sure to talk to your doctor if your not feeling better soon.

Hi Rosalind. Here are some suggestions for your "issues!"

1. You need more fiber. You will find it naturally in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. A raw apple will give you about 3 grams. Most people average 13 grams of fiber in a day. Try to double that! Do it gradually or you will have all kinds of digestive issues! Start your day with a whole grain cereal. Look for something with a high fiber content - All Bran, etc. Add some fresh fruit on top with skim milk and you'll notice an immediate improvement. Eat a baked potato with the skin and that will give you more fiber. Madisonsmom has posted some recipes that are great to get things "ahem...moving!" Make sure you are drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day. That will also help with the constipation. Aim for a gallon a day.

Issue 2 - what are you eating? It sounds like you might have low blood sugar that could be causing your slow down at noon. If you start your day with a whole grain breakfast and drink water throughout the morning, I'm sure you'll notice a difference. Eat something every 2-3 hours. Have an apple or some cottage cheese as a mid-morning snack. Keep a daily log of everything you eat and drink for a week. Write down the time, amount, and how you were feeling. That will give you a better picture of what your eating habits are. That will show you if you are tired because of not eating or eating the wrong foods at that time of day. It could also just be your body responding to the phen. Everyone has different side effects but they usually calm down after a couple of weeks. Good luck!

The funny thing is as I have said that up until now I have been fine, getting fiber, eating enough and drinking no less than 4 liters of water per day. This is just a down time for me I guess who knows as long as I am still loosing!

Rosalind,
Start taking CASCARA. One in the morning and another one at night if you need it. Take at least one or two a day. You can get it at Wal-mart with the vitamins. I could not live without it!! It's NOT a laxitive! No cramping or anything like that. I call it my miracle pill. I cant say enough good things about it! LOL Ok, I must be getting to excited.... just try it, you'll be glad you did!

Hey I am having the same problem with feeling tired and sluggish, so I can't offer any advice there(I did read everyone else's advice and will give your suggestions a try)
As for the constipation, I was also having that problem, try Fiber One cereal. It has 14 grams of dietary fiber per half cup and only has 60 calories and 1 fat gram. It tastes a little like rabbit food, but with a cut up banana and skim milk it's not so bad. I have been eating 1 cup every morning for breakfast and it keeps me full for hours.
