    Hi all

    As some of you know, I have posted my success in the past on here. In the first 28 days I lost 21 pounds. So trust me, I am very happy. In the last nine days I have lost two 2 pounds, and have stayed at my current weight for the last three days. I have not eaten more (actually a little less but still around 1200 cals a day), made sure I drank the right amount of water, and I am exercising at my usual pace (which is 4-5 times a week walking for a minimum of 45 minutes). I am wondering if I have hit a wall. Any suggestions? Besides be patient?

    Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff.... 3 days without weight loss is no biggie - you're body's just settling in. Don't know exactly what that means, but it seems to be the case. LOL The weight tends to come off faster in the beginning and slows down for almost everyone. So, even if you don't want to hear it - yes, be patient. I just got off a 5-week plateau, and now my body has decided to start losing again. If you want to try something besides being patient, mix things up a bit - eat totally different foods than you usually do - eat 6 small meals instead of 3 (not sure what you're doing now, but it's an example) - try a different kind of exercise - stuff like that. Kind of wake up your body, I guess.

    thank you cassie....i apppreciate the response...but geeesh...you mean i am not going to lose everything i want to in two months..what a rip-off!!!! lol

    someone else suggested seeing how you are doing clothes-wise and the good news is i am down one pants size and bought new belts...so things are good...just want to keep on keeping on.....now that i have made this committment...i am motivated to get it done and want to see those results...we do live in an instant gratification world right? lol

    Yep Im with cassie. I have been at the same weight for 2 months almost now but the clothes keep fitting better so I dont stress. I dont think they consider it an official plateau until you dont lose for like a month. So sit tight and dont worry about that scale.

    I agree with mixing things up. Change the type of exercise you are doing..try walking much faster for one minute every five minutes..this really helps so im told.
    Also..i think when you hit a wall it helps to have a whole day off. Relax with your eating within reason just for one day. Then get back into it the next day.

    Jeff, I don't really have anything to add except that I wanted to say I think your really doing great. I love it that you come in here and have given some great advice. I can't picture my hubby every being as dedicated as you are. Oh I guess thats not really fair if he could ever figure out what a curser or mouse was he be on this computer more. Good job Paula
