How Long is TOO Long on Phentermine?

Hey Everyone,

Can I get feedback on how long is too long to stay on Phentermine? I took it a few years ago, and have used it two or three times since then, for a period of time, to loose weight. I've been on the drug this time since February, and want to make sure that staying on it this long is not harmful in any way. There are times when I don't take it for a week at a time, and for the most part, I take it maybe 5 days out of the week. Is it ok to stay on Phentermine this long?

As to your question...I haven't found any evidence of phen be bad in the long haul or how long is too long. I do know that for most it will tend to lose it's effectiveness after a while (and as to how long a while is...that kind of varies from person to person from what I can tell).

My best suggestion would be consult your Doctor if you have any concerns or if you start seeing any abnormal side effects. And to eventually ween yourself off of the phen when you are at or near goal. Personally I don't want to HAVE to take a pill the rest of my life so I stopped at about 10 lbs. from goal and am using exercise and will power to get me the rest of the way
