Okay First of all no flames please. I had a baby last October and my weight went from 183 to 150 at 5 foot 4. I wasn't quite happy at 150 so I ordered a script from some Phen.
I lost a lot of weight real quick, that was in May. I am currently at 100 pounds.
I know that is pretty gross but I can't seem to stop losing weight. I don't see it.
Please no flames!! I see the number on the scale and my jean size and keep saying I can do another 5 or 10.
My family is really beginning to start on me. I know that I should gain a couple of pounds. I am literally afraid of "fattening" foods. I do eat a lot of low fat foods now.
How can I get passed being afraid of eating? I am sorry if I said petty but I "just don't see it"

What's happening to you is not so different from what happens to people who gain weight. A lot of people do not see it going on and even though they might get on the scale and see a number they don't see themselves at that weight at all, they see themselves thinner. What it sounds like you are saying is that you see yourself heavier than your 100 pounds. It's not uncommon, you're not alone. Is there someone you can talk to about this, a doctor, friend or significant other? You need someone close by you to be able to give you feedback on yourself so that you can see what they see. It just sounds like you need to adjust your perception of where you are at. When you lose weight quickly you can still be stuck back there at the preweight loss image of yourself...it takes your mind awhile to catch up with your body in other words.

You also want to see your doctor and check in with him/her because it will take a little while for you to actually change your perception of yourself and you need to watch your health while that happens. That might be difficult, I don't know - but you could just explain that after you lost the baby weight you still don't feel as though you've lost enough. Get a doctor's opinion - get as many different opinions as you can and listen to what people are saying about how they see your body. I know it might be hard for you to acknowledge if people are telling you that you look fine and don't need to lose more because you are still seeing yourself back with the pounds but just try - because you do need to eat!

Thanks so much for the advice. I am actually feeling a little better already. I am getting sick of eat-eat you are too skinny and I look down and think are you nuts.

Everyone I talk to is the same. Is there actually any health concerns of being underweight as long as you are eating enough?
Thanks again!

If you were "eating enough" you wouldn't weigh 100 lbs. I think from your question, you know that you have a problem. I'm not "flaming", I'm just suggesting that you see a doctor, or a nutritionist, or someone who can help you figure out what a reasonable food intake would be for you. Be careful.

You asked about health problems being underweight...well, i'm a nurse, and yes...there are. Simple things like fatigue, muscle wasting, hair loss, dry skin are just a few things that can happen from poor nutrition. But lots more things can go wrong if you don't get things under control. I think you sound like you know you need to fix this problem. Maybe seeing someone professional for this would help. Remember you goal when you started, being healthy i'm sure was part of it, that might help you too. Best of luck, you are in my prayers.

Theres not more that I can say that everyone else hasnt. Are you still taking phen? If you are I would suggest stopping. Take care of yourself. Im sure you have learned new eating habits since losing weight. Forget about going to extremes and try to focus on being healthy. Take the advice given here and get professional help. With that help you can learn to accept your body and eat healthy. You want to be here for your kids and you know the only way to do that is to get help. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us posted. We will be thinking of you.
