Well, I haven't been around these boards as often as I would like too! My life has been in turmoils to say the least!! I read squidgers" message about losing 40 lbs and that somewhere here... that is a quitting mark.. I think that is what mentally happened to me; why I don't know I guess its just a comfort point; but I still look in the mirror and see that I have 74 more pounds to lose til' I reach my personal goal.

Here is what has happened to me. About 2 weeks ago.. I decided to take a break from the adepix-p for a while, becuase I was taking an antibotic and I don't like to mix medicines. I ended up throwing the adepix out.... big mistake... I realized that you just don't quit that stuff cold turkey... its not good for you. I have been so scatterbrained, my nerves have been on edge to the point of breaking.. for example.. I ran a red light yesterday and at work I sent emails to supervisors and management with TYPOS!! That is something I never do ... and I was so embarrassed I just want to go hideout somewhere!! Well... my next doctors appointment is tentatively scheduled for 9/3. I haven't been following my eating plan.. but starting today I'm gonna start cutting back and getting back with the program; I will not quit, I will not give up and I'm going to make it to goal this time!!!! I woke up this morning practically in tears thinking.. is this how I want my life to be in 2 years? in 10 years.. the same place I am now, unhappy and unsatisfied that I never reached my dreams just for simple lack of trying? I told myself.. h e l l no!!!!THis is a fight and I'm gonna win it!!! I had to become unstuck in order to move on .. and find something I can live with on a longterm basis!!

Hey, I think you ahve done fabulous so far, and it is a LONG and ongoing struggle. We all fall down, just pick yourself back up (which it looks like you have done) and you will be fine! I have never known anybody to completely succeed without failing along the way.

Thumbs up
You hit a wall. We all do that once in a while, whether it's just in our head, or the scale stops moving, or we slip back into bad habbits during times of stress, we all slam into that brick wall once in a while.

But you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back to doing what you need to do. Just like you said you were doing in your post! So, you've just won half the battle right there! Hold your head high and repeat after me "I am a weight warrior and I will not be defeated!"

Then, just to get a mental reality check of just how far you've come, go to the grocery store and try picking up a 40 pound bag of dog food! Wow! You really have come a long way baby!!
Inch by inch, pound by pound, gonna get this body down!

OMG!! You THREW THEM OUT??? I'll send you my address, and next time you can "throw them out" in my direction. I'll pay postage.

You are doing fine. We all need a break from time to time. I've been taking a LOOOOOOOOONG break myself. This is long term brain-retraining we're going through - not speed weightloss. Keep that in mind, and practice the good habits you've learned. You'll have long term success!

Good to see you posting, Tammy! Drop by a little more often if you can!

LOL @ nal.

Sometimes, Tammy, we're making progress that can't be measured with the scales. You've heard the saying "Think globally - act locally". Change it to "Think forever - act daily". Little bits add up to bunches!
