low body temp and purplish lips

Hi everyone. I just started 30mg of phen 4 days ago. Everything has been going well except for today I looked in the mirror and noticed that my lips were slightly purple and I did feel a bit cold. I took my temperature and it was 96 degrees. I am taking wellbutrin along with the phen. Can anyone help me here. Is this one of the side effects? I ordered on line so I did not see a doctor. I had my blood pressure taken the other day and it was on the low side of the normal range. Please anyone who can help me here with these questions...I would really appreciate it! Oh yeah, within 30 minutes my temp had gone up to 98.5 and the purple color on my lips was gone.

My first question would be are you eating? MAjor sign of malnutrition is low body temp and lack of oxygen. However, I take 37.5 of Phen and notice that I get very cold extremities. My fingers, nose and feet are very very cold at times.

Please make sure you keep us up to date, your health is very important!!

hello...

I am new here, and pretty new to phen myself, but I am pretty sure you should not be taking phen and wellbutrin together. I would definately see a doctor. It may be nothing, but better to be safe. I am gonna go look at the walgreens website, they have a place where you can type in your meds and see if they cause adverse reactions.....will come back and post what it says.

Ok, It says they have no interactions...so thats good. But I still think maybe you should see your doctor. I had some side affects at firs also, and I stopped taking phen for about 2 days, started back...and feeling great now! Good luck

Thanks. I would really appreciate any info. When I ordered online I did say that I was taking 200 mg of Wellbutrin. I thought that is was okay since they gave me the prescription. Maybe not??

Thanks Misty. It may be what Keew said, maybe not enough to eat. I have definetly lost my appetite but I am not starving myself either. Maybe I need to up my calorie intake. If anyone else has any ideas or suggestions please let me know...it was kinda scary when I looked in the mirror and saw purple lips!

I just wanted to mention that I take 300mg of Wellbutrin a day & 30mg phen & haven't had any negative reactions. I do go through my regular doctor for everything though, I guess I just want that reassurance.

I also take 37.5 of Phen and 300mg of Wellbutrin a day. My family Dr. prescribed the two for me and I really trust her. I like others, I do have cold hands and feet a lot, but not the lips, that's not good. Definately be under a Dr.'s care while taking these meds. Good Luck.

I take 400 mg of wellbutrin sr along with my phen 30 mg and both were approved and recommended by my family doc and my psychiatrist. But I do agree that it is best to seek an actual doctors advice when it comes to your health.

But, rest assured that there are not any life threatening effects from taking the 2 drugs combined.

(When i say actual dr I am not implying that the doc through online ordering sites are not real doctors. I simply meant a live person you can see - know what I mean jelly bean?)

Oh my Gosh.....you know what? I took a water pill(the prescripton kind 40mg) earlier today. Maybe the three together cause that reaction. I went to the walgreens website (thanks misty) and entered it ino the drug interaction chart. They did not list any side effects the message read "please contact your pharmicist for this interaction" Maybe the water pill did it. Well, I will not do that again (I just felt a little bloated)
