I just do not understand my weight. i do know that i weigh 226, and when i graduated in 96, i weighed around 155-160 and wore a 10 sometimes 12. now i weigh this much and only wear a 14. some people that weigh as much as me wear 20-22. my main trouble area are my breasts. i went from a c-cup to a DDD after my son was born in 99. i want to get rid of them and go back to a c-cup. does anyone know anything BESIDES the surgery that can be done to shrink your boosoms!!?? PLEASE HELP ME!! my other is my "pouch" abdomen fat from the baby and stretch marks....HELP!!!

Part of the difference is extra skin left over from your baby & nursing; with time, it does shrink, but may not shrink all the way. Since you're still in your 20's there's more hope for you than for us in our 40's, though!

The second is that there's probably a difference in your lean/fat ratio. Since fat takes up less room than muscle, if you weigh 155 lbs & are 25% fat, you'll be in a smaller size than if you're 155 lbs. & 32% fat, for instance. That's why it's a good idea to get your body fat checked during a weight loss program, so you can be sure that what you're losing is fat, not water or muscle.

You don't say whether you're exercising, if you haven't been, a few weeks on a good exercise program will shape things up condsiderably!

Good luck & let us know how you're doing!

I don't really understand it myself-
I started at 220lbs. on 3/13 and wore an 18-20.
Now I'm 178lbs. and wear a solid 14 and even some 12's......oh yeah I'm 5'6"....
When I was at 220lbs.,I wore a 38D- now I'm already down to a 36c......(I had 2 children) - at my lowest weight(pre-kids) I was 125lbs and a 34B.....

I don't understand my weight vs. size either, I am about 245-248 and last week I was 251 because of aunt flow. anyway I wear 20-22 more 20's though depends on the cut I guess. my upper body shoulders, breast etc, I can be anywhere from a 14-16 to a 18-20, but I feel more confy in a 18-20. When I was about 215-220 I took anywhere from a size 14-18 mostly 18's though. I can't figure it out.

I don't really have any advice as far as shrinkage I can say try chest exercises...such as ****erflies. My bra size has never change at any weight 38D since 96. Before that I was probaly a C but I can't remember at all.

Im 5'7' and weigh 228. I wear an 18-20. I was a size 14 when i married 11 yrs. ago and i was thin. (dont know my weight then but in my wedding pics i looked really good) My bra size is 40d-42dd. I have both sizes guess thats pretty weird.
I also have the *pouch* problem and the sretch marks.ugh! I dont think theres anything to do about them. I go to the tanning bed, that helps a little.

The thing is, it all depends on your height and your muscle mass. Taller people can weigh more but still wear a relatively small size compared to short people who weigh the same amount. However, a tall person who is thin will wear a larger size than a short person who is thin. I'm short and people never think I look "fat" because I'm still relatively small looking. However, inside my "smaller" sized clothing, there's definately some fat hiding!

I just pray the weight loss will shrink my DDD problem!!! THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!

Isn't it sick, funny and ****ie? LOL I weigh 266 right now and I'm wearing size 24 pants and an 18 or large blouse. I'm 6' so that is some of the difference.

The other difference, I'm flat! I don't have the huge boobs that other large women get! All the weight without all the benefits! Dang! And you know what else? When I lose weight? Guess where the first of it comes from? You guess it! My boobs get smaller!

So, I don't know for sure...but maybe if you lost the other weight, it too would start to go down?

I should have such problems! LOL

everyone's bone density/waterweight and many other factors are so different from person to person. I am 5ft 5in 145-150 lbs and wear a 6 or an 8. I wear 34 or 36 b. I was 236 lbs wore a 22 and 42 D.
I lost alot in my breasts. I do lots of arm weights though too. They are semi perkier but still smaller than I wish.

I'm 5ft 6in and started out in a sz.16-18 and I'm now Im in sz.14's. I thought 20lbs would have made a bigger difference, but like Holly when I lose the chest is the first to go

Don't stress worry, you are making progress and life changes and like I keep telling myself your size is only a number, how you feel is what matters most!!!

BTW-When you have a child your hip bones themselves actually spread wider.

Cool
Hi,
Every body is so different. I am 5'6" and started at @ 216 lbs. Couldn't even get my size 16's past my knees!! I am currently 178 and am wearing 14's comfortably. Go figure!!! I even have nice fitting shorts by Rafaella that are a size 12 and fit nice too. Strange.......Oh well, it feels so good to be wearing my old clothes again. Started to get those looks from the "guys" too. Feels too good!! What is that saying-"NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FEELING THIN DOES"
