I'm on phentermine and the pill. It hasn't given me any problems at all. The phen has produced side effects when I've been on it, but I don't think the pill is contributing to it.
Someone was posting here about tying weight loss to pregnancy though, and that really scared me, so I'm looking into the shot instead of the pill, but have to see my doctor. I'm just afraid of weight gain caused by the shot.
For hormone regulation and the like, the pill's been wonderful for me (Ortho tricyclin). I first went on it (at 15) because I was in hideous pain every month, and because my mother, I think, really would have killed me because of how b****y I got.
One thing with the pill (unrelated to Phen). I don't know if it's just me or if other people have experienced it, but the first five months after I stopped the pill (went on it again within the last year or so) were some of the most hideously painful, debilitating cramps I've ever had in my life.
