Okay, I have been on phen for one week. I have lost maybe 2 pounds. How is it that other people manage to loose 10 pounds in the first week??? Loosing 2 pounds is better than nothing but I guess I was just expecting greater results. I know, I know...it has only been a week. Exactly 2 months from today I am getting married. I would really, really like to dump 40 pounds by then....any suggestions? I am eating right (but probably not 1200 calories a day)and I exercise at least 3 times a week. I am a redhead and patience is NOT one of my virtues. Any suggestions are welcome.

Talk about discuraged! I have been on Phen for 27 days, and as of today I have lost 20lbs. But no one can tell. That is what motivates me to keep going my "i'll show them" attitude. 2lbs lost is so much better than 2 gained. Keep going because you can do it. If you follow a good program you are destine to succeed!

Hi, RedRkr...are you a Sammy fan or is it just for your red hair???

Are you exercising? How much water are you drinking? Are you taking vitamins? How many calories are you eating a day? How much do you weigh, how much do you have to lose?

All these things come into play when it comes to weightloss, but above all else, everyone's bodies are different, and we all lose at different rates.

My advice? Eat 1200 calories a day, exercise for at least 30 minutes 3-4 times per week (cardio - get your heart rate up and keep it up for a full 30 mins), and drink as much water as you can.

Also, Nitra posted last week sometime about the ways to jump start a diet. Go back a few pages and look for that topic, and maybe take a few suggestions from that.

Good luck, and don't be discouraged! You are gonna do great.

Thanks for the encouragement PrincessGrace. Yes, I am exercising...but I guess I could always increase that. I drink tons of water, no vitamins but I KNOW I am not eating 1200 calories a day. I guess there is just something about eating that many calories a day when trying to loose weight...hard for me to rationalize. I AM going to do this, I AM going to loose this weight and I AM going to look great when I get married in May!!

P.S. Yes, a Sammy fan and partly because of the red hair.

    Wink

If you cut drastically back on your calorie intake, your body thinks you are starving it, and will slow down your metabolism. My suggestion is to stay at 1200 cal, continue to exercise, take a vitamin, drink the water. When is your wedding? Julia

Woohoo, I'm a HUGE Sammy fan!!!!!!!!

    Nice to have one aboard!

I know it seems weird to actually EAT when dieting. Honestly, though, you have to eat, especially if you are exercising. I went for about a month hardly eating at all because I hit my goal weight and was scared to gain. I would try to do my runs and just poop out. My nails kept breaking, my mood was terrible, the phen wasn't working, and I was NOT losing any weight.

I realized I was starving myself, and started to eat again, and you wouldn't believe how much better I felt almost immediately.

So, getting married in May? I am engaged, and want to get married in May or October, because I want to go to the Cabe Wabo on my honeymoon when Sammy is there. My fiance and I always joke that we are going to have Sammy marry us on stage at a show down there. Wouldn't that be a blast!?!

Take care, and keep us posted on how you are doing!!!!

    Love,
    Sarah
