ANYONE WITH OFFICE PET PEEVES?

HI EVERYONE,

F.Y.I.:
THIS IS MY 2ND DAY WITHOUT PHEN AND NO URGE TO EAT EVERYTHING IN SITE. STILL KEEPING A GOOD SPIRIT INSPITE OF NOT TAKING PHEN.

OK, NOW DOES ANYONE WORK IN AN OFFICE AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THERE PET PEEVES?
I HAVE A FEW:

* YOUR ON A DIET AND THE WOMEN IN YOUR OFFICE ALWAYS BRING IN DONUTS TO SHARE OR THEY MAKE UP REASONS TO BAKE A CAKE OR BROWNIES.

* THE ONE CO-WORKER THAT SPENDS ALL DAY ON THE PHONE GOSSIPING TO THE OTHER CO-WORKER OR GOSSIPING TO FAMILY MEMBERS

I have worked in offices & still do from time to time when the VO world is slow.

an addition to your #1: when you think telling people in your office will be good for your willpower - then, when you fall a bit - who's ALWAYS there to ask (ala Rosanne Barr) "HOW'S YOUR DIET GOING!!??"

Pet Peeve #2: when people leave the copier or printer or fax machine jammed!!!

Tons of little knick knacks on a desk.. drives me nuts! In our office we have to share desks, one person uses it during the day, the other at night. My side is neat and uncluttered, my deskmate has junk tacked to the wall and sitting on top of the monitor and is always leaving her lipstick covered cup sitting out.

Most of the things are just common courtesy. Ever notice how nasty a ladies room is in an office?? Makes you wonder. Same goes for the kitchen/breakroom. Even when I worked 10 hr days I refused to eat at work. I wont eat stuff people bring either. I see how they keep their desks and the breakroom and have to wonder how clean their kitchens are. If Im hungry, I leave the office to eat. So all those treats people bring.. not even a temptation.

lol. I could really be here all day.
Its just me and my 62 year old boss who thinks he knows EVERYTHING.

1. When I dont get my personal messages (i am allowed to receive personal calls.

2. When a vendor brings us foods, he pushes and pushes me to eat it even though he knows Im "dieting".

3. He tells people I get grouchy when I dont get to go to lunch at 1:00 because I'll starve to death if I dont.. WHEN I really just want to go have a cigarette. or 4.

4. He tells me stories from his life going back 60 years. Ive heard all of his stories at least 6 times. AND they are really long and descriptive.

5. He sits out in my area eating his fruit for lunch. He makes SO MUCH noise. he eats peaches, apples, carrots and the sound of him eating makes me sick.

6. He never returns his messages so all of the customers think I dont give them to him.

7.He NEVER turns off the computer line when hes done surfing the personal computer so our faxline is always busy!

I have SO MANY you wouldnt belive. He doesnt collect all the required paperwork when he writes a policy. WHEN he writes a policy. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH It feels good to vent though!

LOL YOU REMINDED ME NITRA OF THE BATHROOM ISSUE,,

I ACTUALLY TRY TO WAIT UNTIL I GET HOME. THEY ONLY CLEAN OUR BATHROOM 3 TIMES A WEEK,,WITH 40 OR MORE WOMEN USING 2 STALLS.

FUNNY STORY: I HAD TO USE THE BATHROOM WHICH OF COURSE I DREADED DOING BUT MOTHER NATURE CALLED,,,WELL I OPEN THE DOOR AND THE SMELL WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD,,,AND THE WOMAN WAS STILL IN THERE,,( I THINK SHE WAS AFRAID TO COME OUT OF THE STALL) BUT THE FUNNY THING WAS WAS THAT SHE PUT HER COFFEE CUP ON THE SINK THAT HAD HER NAME ON IT. LOL

When you are walking past someone, make eye contact with them, and they don't even smile or speak back.
(I work in customer service for a Bank)The people who laugh and hack out loud(just for attention) and other people around them are trying to take calls.

People who do not clean up after themselves.

I am the only female here with 5 men in the office, and we have several guys who work in the shop. And they ALL go in the lunchroom for break or lunch and mess up and do not clean up after themselves!! I used to pick up after them, but that was short lived. I finally but up a sign that says "YOUR WIFE DOESN'T WORK HERE - PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR MESS!" The wives that have seen it, love it!

But I do have the cleanest bathroom, cuz I am the only one who uses the "Ladies Room". ~HA

Oh - I could go all day on this one...

1. people who peg you as you walk in the door in the morning. (I hate mornings - this morning I had 2 people pounch on me when I walked in).

2. People who come in your office while you are on the phone with someone - and interrupt you to tell you something stupid.

People who hand you work to do when it is really THEIR work and they say I don't have time to do it. Then the rest of the day they goof off. UGGHH!!
People who don't put back files when they get them out,and other things, etc . . . Making a mess all over the place right after you have cleaned it up.
The one that burns me the most is people who take credit for the work you have done!! When the boss comes in and asks about it they immediately take credit for it, but if there is a mistake they choose to find someone else to blame it on, even if they did it!! I get so frustrated with this because it happens so much in my office. We have one girl that has been here longer than the rest of us, so I guess she figures since she has seniority it is alright to let everyone do her job.
Anyway, I will hush before I become irate J/K

Oh my this could be a long list, but I will just name a few major ones!!

1. Having someone yell your name 50 times a day, when all they have to do is walk maybe 5 steps to me.

2. Having someone stand over you while you are on the phone with a client, trying to solve a problem.

3. Someone yelling at you I need you now, and constantly keep yelling especially if I am on the phone.

4. Empty coffee pot.

5. Bosses not answering their phone when all they are doing is watching out the window, and I am extremely busy!!

Well this list could go on forever so I will stop now.
