Does anyone know of a doctor in the chicagoland area that would prescribe Phen? My doctor gave this first month but said he didn't feel comfortable doing a second. I go back for my checkup in a few weeks.

Bump, I don't think she saw this![]()
I'm asking my Elk Grove OB/GYN for it today, so I'll letcha know-I don't want to have to refill on the internet if I can save the $$....
Your ob/gyn can prescribe phen?? I did not know this. I thought you had to use your primary physician only. My doc. wont give me phen, she says diet and excercise is the only way. Ya right!! I go to the phentermine doctor in Oakbrook. It cost me $35.00 for the visit and then I take the script to Walgreens and that is $30.00 for brand and $15.00 for generic.
Yep, any doc can prescribe it here in IL. Actually, she is a nurse practitioner working with a group of docs and she can write a script for it. We discussed it at last years visit and we decided I'd try weight watchers and see how it went (obviously not too good). I'll let you all know what she says today!
Goofy Girl,
I am going back to my doctor in 1 week. I'm wondering if she is going to give me another month. I have done well so far. I work in Downers I would love to have the doctor's name in OakBrook. Do you go through insurance? $35.00 for the visit and $30.00 for the prescription is more reasonable than buying it online and at least the doctor can keep an eye on you. I'll try to e-mail you.
