Difference between Phen 30mg & 37.5mg - Phentermine.com

To anyone who has switched from 30mg to 37.5mg: is there a big difference? How long were you on 30mg for?

hey newmommy ,I am hoping some replies will come in refering to our question. Its kind of hard to tell Ive taken the caps 30mgs ,liked them but iget headaches real bad w them hoping to cut the tabs in half to take less in morning the rest in afternoon.Good luck and hope we can get some advice to share.

I have never tried the 37.5 mg but from what I have learned here and read elsewhere is that aside from being a higher dose if you need it, people like the 37.5 tablet cause they can cut it in half. Its scored down the center. So basically they can only take half a dose if they feel like it or more if they feel they need it. Also I have read in some books that some people who need longer hours of appetite control cut the 37.5 in half and take half early in the morning and half at lunch to extend the effects ****her into the day. Basically it seems to be more versitile. The caplets aren't meant to be broken open so thats not wise but with a tablet you can change your dose without buying new pills.
I have the 30mg, started on that and felt it was too much to start for me. So I then got a presript for the 15 mg. I have both now and I guess when I feel I need more than 15, I'll switch back to 30 but kind of wish I would've just gotten the 37.5 to begin with and cut them in half. Once these run out I'm going to try those.
Other than those reasons everyones body is different and I guess the various brands themselves vary in effectiveness and side effects and its different for different people so Just try one and if it works for you then continue, if it doesn't and you feel you want to try another then do that.
Some people like generic, some brand name and theres lots of brands to choose from, so it can be confusing.
kind of like "One size does NOT fit all".

The biggest difference is the price.

The only advantage the 37.5 has over 30 is the fact that you can split the tablet in half....but it's not usually necessary.

I was on the 30 mg for the first month and only lost 5 lbs so when I went back to my Doc I expressed my dissappointment so he switched me to 37.5 and within 2 weeks of using it I've lost an additional 11 lbs....I have to pay very close attention to my food intake though because I could easily do without the food but I know you have to eat to lose...Also I'm not sleeping much...it's not that I cant sleep I can when I let myself...I just seem to keep finding things to do to put it of...My mother had back surgery 2 weeks ago so I'm at her house alot and getting about 3 hours sleep...and it doesnt seem to bother me((But I know that's not right))I feel wonderful though
