Anyone else experience hair loss?

I've been on 30 mg. caps. for 6 months, with a few weeks off. Over the last month or so I've noticed that my hair has thinned out and I have patchy areas on the top of my scalp where I have lost the most hair but new hair is growing in. It's about a 4 inch long area. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced hair loss and if you continued with the medication and what the outcome was. I'm now taking vitamins and I thought I was getting enough protein prior to the hair loss. Although I now try to have more protein to see if this helps. I've started using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner about 2 weeks ago. I haven't noticed any big difference though. Not sure if I should stop the meds. completely for several months, although I still have 25 pounds to lose. Thanks for any input you might have!

My hair is falling out too! Im thinking I need rogaine! I am not sure it is a phen thing or not. It started about a month ago. At this rate Ill be bald by summer. At least I can get thru my wedding day in 2 weeks with a head of hair still. Wouldnt that be lovely, bald in my wedding photos! Wonder if Salih would still love me if I was bowling ball head???

I don't really think I have experienced that.... but I got on here as a brand-newbie and was reading the side effects page.... stayed up late to finish reading. Woke up the next morning in a panic because I thought my hair was falling out, then I remembered that paranoia was a side effect too.... then I started laughing at myself... wondering which side effect I ReAlY had.... LOL

Last week my hubby was out of town for training at work.... He left and I had a beautiful LONG head of hair... He was coming home late Friday night and I wanted to get my hair cut Friday after work... so I called my favorite stylist.. and they were closed... Has anyone seen the Smart Style places in Super Walmarts? OK .... DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!! I asked the lady to trim my layers... my shortest layer was at my shoulders, my hair went down past my bra in the back. I looked like Carol Freakin Brady when she got done. You know that LONG drop between her layers and the length of her hair? This psycho woman did that TO ME! So I thought, OK. Great. I will go in the morning to MY sane stylist and have it fixed. I thought, I will just put it up in a pony tail so he won't notice. RIGHT! I used to put my hair in a pony tail while I was cleaning, because my hair is thick and I will sweat to death otherwise. Well even my PONY tail USED TO come down past my shoulders (I put it close to the top of the back of my head). NOW I have this cute eensie weensie little bun of a pony tail, and this LONG piece hanging down from that. I wanted to CRY. Well Saturday I went to the stylist and had it fixed, but I am still left with the little bun..... I feel like a Grandma. Which is better than the DYKE that other lady made me feel like! LOL
