Current Weight: 230
Goal Weight: 120-130 I have a certain look rather than weight.
Question
I don't know what to do.

I have been going to the gym and working out with a personnal trainer and doing very well. However when my husband is not home I have to use the daycare that the gym offers. The problems is that my daughter cries the whole time she is in there and they always have to come get me. I feel like I am not getting anything done. The only time I feel I get a workout is when my husband is home.

Any ideas? I am a stay-at-home with no family to watch her. The daycare said to just go in 15 minutes a day and work my way up to the 2 hours I need.

Thanks for all the help you can give me.

BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!!! Oh my gosh, that is soooo frustrating! I'll tell you what I ended up doing when I was on phen 4 years ago after the birth of my son and the same thing happened to me...

I tried to workout in the evening, after hubby got home but by then I was wasted from taking care of the baby and house all day. The last thing I wanted to do was go lift anything heavier than my bed pillow. So I found out that the gym opened at 5 a.m. and that was when I went. Hubby was still asleep at home with the baby. I was home by 6:30 so he could leave for work at 7. It worked great.

I found that my body adjusted really quickly to getting up so early ( I know, that sounds like an unholy hour) and it got me energized for the day. Of course, at night I was in bed and snoring happily by 9 p.m. My late-night life came to a screeching halt. But I wanted to lose the weight so bad that it was worth whatever time/schedule adjustments I had to make.

I went from a size 14 (180 lbs) to a size 6 (125 lbs) in 5 months.

You do what you have to do. And, if my schedule doesn't work for you, then you do whatever you can. If it's 15 mins here and there, then make those 15 mins really count.

If it comes down to working out at home, I found that the best guidebooks are written by a WOMAN named Joyce Vedral. She is amazing. She has her before/after pics and her exercises are REALISTIC and SIMPLE. No equipment needed besides hand weights and your regular furniture.

Anyway, good luck to you, Whowhon!

KimKim,

Thanks for the information but I guess I should have explained "husband not home" for those who don't know. My husband works offshore on a oilridge in the middle of the gulf of mexico. So, I am basically a single mother half the time. My husband is home a week and gone a week.

Any ideas kim?

First let me say this...I am the nursery coordinator at our church, and sometimes we have a problem w/children who stay home w/their moms all day everyday don't want to stay in the nursery. So, those moms will stay w/their child and get them familiar w/the environment. It usually takes a few weeks, but then the child gets familiar w/the teachers and the other kids. We have kids in their now that at first wouldn't leave their mothers leg, and now they ASK to come to the nursery. So, maybe if you would sit in there w/her a few times, and get her familiar w/it, it would help. Especially if she is used to being w/you all the time. That's kinda a shock for a small child.

Ok, i know this post had nothing to do with exercise, but i hope it helps some. LOL

Thanks texasgirl,

I will try it. I am willing to try anything at this point. I really want to lose this weight. I even thought about seeing if they would let me bring one of the teenagers that goes to church with me that has watched bailey before just to sit in the nursery with her until she gets use to it.

Thanks
